Hello, Notan Expert; Great job! Looks fantastic! I have a set of 4 wood carving knives ($26US on amazon, sold by "ewade"). I use them to hog off thick corner sections to minimize rasping, just a suggestion. The place it broke is end grain so you can fit & glue a piece of scrap to fill in. Just an idea. This is really interesting because I want to make (or repair) a saw, too. When you get thru with it please summarize your pros & cons & what you would do different if you had a do-over. Very interesting project! Well done! This kind of handle always reminds me some mix of brass knuckles and pistol.

Bummer about the second handle blow out and will be interested to watch a follow up on fixes for that. Nice work on that walnut though.

I liked it. Except the constant sniffing, takes 2 seconds to blow you nose other than that it was good
