Very nice, easy to make and use with perfect results. You could add a threaded insert to each position, so u can use the existing holes in the planer blade to lock them in place. No need for an additional clamp. Thanks for sharing.

Nice idea. However, better to make the blade-holder blocks out of a more dense hardwood than a soft pine.

I've tried making one of these before and I can't ever get it exactly right. I ended up making a router jig for my lathe. It allows me to tune a dowel down to .001 inches. Great job J!

Why would you cut the snail off the bit? That's what pulls it down to cut.

Что то я не пойму, зачем было брусок разрезать на 4 части, а потом все заново склеивать??? Если бы цельный приклеили на доске, было бы то же самое...))))

Nice design, this allows for the making of dowels of a specific type of wood and size which might not be available other wise.

Great jig. If you put bar soap or bees wax on the inside of the jig it will stop the burning and make less friction

Very nice. How accurate can you make those dowels with that type of design? If I say consistently make 3/8" dowels can this jig be designed to do that? Just asking.
