Cold front just rolled in so we decided to go wade fishing. The morning started off a little slow but then all of a sudden the bite was fire! I started the morning off with a keeper Trout then Ruben followed it up with a nice slot Redfish. While Ruben was messing with the Redfish I hooked up to a Redfish of my own.

Thats the first time I've never seen it packed there. There's ton's of people there all thru the week. Love both those lures btw. Keep the vids comin !!!

Thank you we really do appreciate it. When Ruben made the wade box video it was before a lot of companies started making "wade boxes" and selling them for $20+ a pop.

@@MattsSaltwaterFishing gunna have to get me some n try em in the spring run out there the sprung run honestly i think is way better out there flounder stack more at pack gor some reason in the spring then the fall these past couple years

I caught a 19 inch flounder on an AM Lure last week. They work great! The same lure I caught a bunch of trout on it. Thing was chewed up but still worked.

@@johnnycortez46 that's badass! I remember seeing a nice blue Jawbone at Roy's I don't remember if it was the 1042 or 1052. When we compared the 1052 and H552 blanks side by side the H552 was definitely lighter in weight and had more whip to it (closer to an actual Harrington 552). I think a Penn wide 4/0 would be a great choice for the 1052. Once I get a 50w I'm gonna have to really test it out. From what I heard though people do put 50w on the 1052 so I should be safe. 😂

@@MattsSaltwaterFishing Yes it did Have more of a whip to it. The 1052 might be a little bit more than what I actually really need "maybe or maybe not." But it was nicely built and I was sold from there and I couldn't pass the price up. But I was given 2 choices between the JBX552 and the 1052. So I choose the 1052 instead.

@@MattsSaltwaterFishing Yess siiirr. i been using that momoii mono line like yours but I have mine in a smoke blue color. but with the 1042 and the 1052 I think I'm going to run the new momoii diamond Gen braid 60 pound maybe 80. I'm not very experience with braid but with the research I've done this one is pretty dam good. Especially with casting . So we'll see what happens

Both lures did pretty well. Not surprising. I haven’t found any AMs here in Houston. That fishing spot sure holds some good fish.

Yeah they both did good. My thinking this trip was maybe the Flounder like the AM Lure a little more and the solid Trout preferred the DSL. We got the AM Lures down here at Roy's. Maybe hit up Beach Bomber Fishing and see if he has a plug.

@@MADFISHINREELS lol you're too kind. Sometimes it takes patience waiting/wading till the fish start biting. Other times you can catch them right off the bat and then sometimes you can fish for 4+ hours and not catch anything.

From what I have seen it has slowed down. The fish will be in the deeper water and as it warms up they will make their way to the flats again. The Black Drum usually like the cold so you might have some luck if you fish the channels like Red Dot Pier and Clem's. Good luck if you come down here.

We've been using DSL for a few years now with success but it doesn't hurt to switch it up every now and then. We are really liking the AM Lures.

@@kevinwynne9 we've been having good luck on the Purple Haze and Pink. For the 3DS Minnow I've caught Kingfish and Jack Crevalle on the Ayu and Sardine colors. Just be warned that I've had Jacks bend out and break the original hooks and even bend the eyelet. I've also had Kingfish puncture them to where water gets inside the lure. So just keep that in mind that you might want to replace the hooks.

Matt: Help me out here bro...I see a clear shot of the AM lure at time frame: 10:49. The AM lures looks to have yellow bottom and a purple top. I checked AM Lure website to order some and I don't see any lures that color. The Purple Haze that's on the website shows it to be an all purple body and a chartreuse tail. Did they stop making the one that was used on your video and replaced it with the one that's now on the website?? Please help.
