About 15 years ago they hired some traffic experts to conduct a study about the shitty Bradenton traffic. They concluded that 90% of the traffic downtown is only passing through to get somewhere else, and that an elevated expressway or bypass would alleviate much of the downtown traffic. All the business owners in downtown said no way! If all those cars bypass us we will lose business. All these years later nothing has changed and the traffic is even worse. Two additional river crossings would help tremendously but I doubt it will ever happen in this backasswards town.

No one goes to downtown Bradenton except for drunks from palmetto who got beef in their hood so they come here instead

They might be surprised to know that if it wasn’t a traffic bottleneck people might actually consider going

Yeah that downtown corridor on 64 made no sense to me driving in Bradenton. First time riding through on the evening on a Friday no less, the curve going east must really throw some drivers off.

This video would make more sense if it was filmed with more traffic, but you made your case.

It’s the dead of summer. Tourists aren’t here much, school is out and snow birds went back up north. Come fall it’s gets exponentially worse.

Now with the development of riverwalk and new condo and hotel development they should make a bypass arounr downtown to the beaches.

Jose & Katy, why don't you guys do a video on Cauley Square Historic Village in Miami-Dade. There's Tea House with real high tea & English style tea sandwiches/scones & awesome food. There are lots of shops, salt cave, restaurants, ice cream/snacks, beautiful natural landscaping & fauna. It is small & shaded by majestic trees/tropical plants. You can explore all the different areas, courtyards within the confines of a truly MAGICAL place with old Florida history. Coral Castle is right by it on opposite side.

That makes sense Jose. Here in Tampa they're setting up multiple traffic lights on about every block on s. Dale Mabry in south tampa. Hopefully they won't be on all day n all night long.
