I went in October and it was better than anything I ever imagined! I loved the look of the architecture, and everyone was so friendly (contrary to what I've always heard). I can't wait to go back! Thanks for the awesome video!

I absolutely LOVED your video. I've visited Seattle a few times. I plan on making it my future place to live. I'm stuck and depressed in Chicago for the time being. I've been there my whole life and I am just tired of it. I love the vibe and the people in Seattle. I almost cried watching this video because I want to be out there SO bad and leave Chicago behind.

Me too. I'm stuck in Austin, TX, which is a great city but I've been here my whole life and I'm very bored of it. I also hate sunny weather. The sun gives me extreme migraines and I stay inside when it's out, so I would love overcast days majority of the year. I love all of the neat places to go around Seattle, like Olympic National Park. I can't wait to move there but have to be patient.
@mikedang36136 жыл бұрын
I seriously get angry when people say "the weather is so bad" or "the overcast is depressing." Just because you prefer sun over cloud doesn't mean other's don't enjoy overcast. I adore overcast, whereas while I live in the midwest, sunlight is grossly depressing to me. Stop acting like the way something makes YOU feel is the way it makes others feel.

Make sure to get your picture taken with the troll under the bridge in Fremont. Jade Garden in the International District has great soy noodles and pot stickers. gentrification is out of control in seattle. because of Amazon. But seattle is still a good place to live. theres plenty of jobs. and you can get by most of the summer without a air conditioning. your not going to roast alive like those humid east coast cities. just put a fan in the window. around august is when we get the humid days. Also if you stay somewhere near downtown, the buses are good. you don't need a car until you got further out the city. And theres a mind numbing amount of coffee shops around the city.

I love your video it makes me want to move to Seattle. I've been getting feelings to move to your city for a while. I lived in Spokane and Portland, OR. In the 1980's. I can't wait till I can get back Washington for I miss it. I've been to Seattle 6 or 7 times I fell in love with it the first time I saw it. Though still love Spokane and Portland. There is some thing about your city I get feelings about it that can't explain, like that I'm ment to be there. I live in South Eastern Idaho.The weather is not the best and a lot of the poeple are not the nicest in the world. There is nothing to do here. I need to get out! Like the person in the comment below me, I feel depressed too adout were I live. Its been hard beening in Idaho. Its not much fun. -See you soon Seattle!!! Keep up the good videos. Your good! -David. P.S. I will be going to THE ART INSTITUTE OF SEATTLE! The Art Instute went of buzziness. So I found another school. The Corish College Of The Arts. Its still in Seattle. And a much better school!

I rememeber downtown seattle when it was fun and the streets were alive with your various old shops from 4th ave down to 1st that had character and a class of their own along with the characters that owned the streets not too mention your basic wineos that were kool and harmless unlike the sickos of today and homeless laying in the doorways of the once proud and busy dept stores. The whole area is now infested with the "yuppy crowd and their cronies. Needless to say the proud city of seattle has been destroyed and is now infested with ugly coffins they call condos, "thanx to the money hungry investors, or should I say " INFESTORS. The streets of downtown seattle have indeed gone bad and getting worse every day, so sad to see the place I grew up in and proud of has died.

Thank you for this video. It's really nice to see a simple video of downtown and not a travel documentary. I'm planning on moving to Seattle from Denver when I finish college. I've gotten way too sick of Denver after 10 years... too many pretentious, fake, flakey people. The summers are too hot with an overbearing sun (seriously I want to be able to take my dog out for a nice long walk without having to glob on the sunblock and take it with me) and the winters are horrible. I love the amount of gray days in Seattle. I was glad Seattle beat us in the Super Bowl, lol.

+Juodoji Berete Always raining? No. That's a myth. What Seattle does have is a lot of cloudy days, especially during the winter months. During the winter months if often does rain, but it isn't heavy downpours, it's more of a steady, light rain. I never lived in Seattle but I lived north of the city with weather pretty similar to Seattle and it's totally possible you won't see the sun for months during the winter, although winter can also have sunny days. The summers are sunny and not too hot, except very occasional heat waves. I agree with you that the weather up there is nice.

Lol I'm moving there next month from Brooklyn. I was there last year around Tacoma and it was such a shock. It's so much open space and almost no people. That's kinda what sold me on Seattle, but I would think downtown would be a little more crowded but wow!
@alexc78649 жыл бұрын
+Timothee25 Well summer is a different story there are lots of people, but no where near how crowded New York is. More like Los Angeles in terms of density(maybe a little less). But it is Seattle so pretty much 50% or more of the year is spent under grey skies (but honestly I like that kinda weather it's very relaxing). But trust me May - September (with a few other weeks of sun here and there) Seattle is easily one of the most stunning cities in the world.
@NoName718.9 жыл бұрын
I agree. I also like how some parts have free WiFi lol
@MrGrownman4559 жыл бұрын
+Timothee25 Seattle is more of a inside type of city.. It rains a lot so there are more indoor activities to do in Seattle than out door activities. Summertime brings a lot of people out because it's beautiful but for the most part people are doing some type of activity that is indoors. You will get used to it. I like less people walking the streets myself, makes it easier to move around than other cities that have large numbers of people on the Street

I actually think Seattle and Austin are pretty similar. Seattle has a very nice downtown. The big difference between the two is location. Seattle is bigger and in a cooler, cloudier climate with mountains and rugged beaches. I love Austin but Seattle, IMO, is a better version of Austin, if you're not into heat/sunny weather and BBQ. Austin has more outgoing, young, party-types. Seattle seems to be more introverted, which is a plus IMO (negative to some).
