Bribing or charitable donations involves money. One is criminal and the other is an accepted crime used for tax evasion. These families still have a leg up in society. Same difference at the end of the day. I bet they'd even bribe the Lottery officials. Why can't they stand in line like the rest of us?

That's the whole thing though, tutors are something you get when you actually care about the academics and you have money. These kids don't care about the academics, they're there to scrape by, get the degree with the school name on it and party. Then when they're done, their rich parents use their connections to get the kids a good job. The kids never see entry level jobs, hard course loads, or anything. Easy life from birth to death.

Chris M there’s nothing wrong with that man. Some have to struggle harder than others, some don’t have to at all. And you can’t fault the parents for wanting to give the kids a better life, or the kids growing up in such luxury to where that is all they know. I knew a guy who went to uni with me and he was a B student yet his dad was a billionaire. He had one internship and is slated to run his dad’s business. Unfair yes, but I don’t envy him for making the most of his opportunity.

The universities provide tutors and bend over backward to give them passing grades. It reflects badly on the school if it has too many failures. These students don't get As and Bs; they squeak by with Cs. But, they don't need high GPAs. Once they graduate their family or friends set them up in business or provide them high paying jobs. And, they never have to worry about paying off student loans.

I can imagine these wealthy guys coming out of the college premises after being "admitted" and, instead of going to celebrate their prowess by sharing a double-mac with cheese in McDonald's they go to a refined restaurant to cheer each other with Filet Mignon. Lol !

Makes you wonder just how many of those rich kids who got in were accepted "fairly" (not taking into account the vast difference in resources available to them as opposed to the regular students).

So sad. They lock up a women for using her relative address to get her child into a safer school and she goes to jail. Sadly to say I will not be surprised to see these people not pay any consequences for this action.

@@liraven7676 School sucks because it is a brainwashing institution that give out homework, exams, and you do not get paid at all. School is way worst than work. Work is a cake walk. School sucks! Cheating to get into school is not worth it!

Photoshopping your child’s head onto an athlete? It’s never that serious. There’s so many great schools out there, your child would’ve gotten into one and had a great time. We all get rejected from top schools and learn to live with it. Sorry but you can’t get everything you want, even if you’re rich!!! At least that’s how it should be.

There are students trying to study and earn a better living, to better a community to live in by being competent in what they do, and there are leeches who lie and cheat and people who helps these idiots out of greed! Not in the U.S.A! This should be stopped with adequate consequences. Especially to the idiots whom are filled with greed that lets this happen.

Olivia Jade is spoiled and entitled but reality is getting ready to set in. I feel bad for all the black kids who get slammed of using affirmative action to get into schools as well as other kids who work hard and don't get in. Lock em up!!

The lawsuit that has been filed must become a class action suit and, sure enough, against all the collages involved as well. Does anybody wants to make us think that there were not people from the universities and colleges administrations that didn't know this? Oh, sure... athletes that were never part of any teams? What kind of system is that in which it is so easy to hide, omit or simply not verify this type of information? No sir, don't say that the administration is not involved. Someone should talk instead of remaining silent. This is a disgrace for this nation which explains a lot of things happening. Am I supposed to not have the thought that maybe a dumb engineer that bought his way through college designed the 737 Max? See why this is far reaching. It is inevitable to put everything in doubt. Am I supposed to think that systems in place at EVERY level and in different areas of life are legitimately honest or, maybe, seriously corrupted? Banking, Wall Street, finances and people in key positions... Ha, ha, ha. Seat back and demand respect now...Ha, ha, ha!
