Dozens of dogs, living on Oahu island, taken to land by owner

Just a day after we aired our story on an aggressive pack of dogs near Keehi Boat Harbor a man claiming to be the owner of the dogs takes action.

What a kind man in a hard place. He accepted responsibility and took action. It's never too late and his heart seemed like it is in the right place and he's a dog lover!

those are some kickass little dogs. If I were on Oahu, i'd take a couple. I hope they all find good homes.

He should be fined. No one sees his game? It's a dog farm. Making money, unabetted by any government entity. It's ridiculous that people are on here concerned about these two trespassers. The police should be called in. The boat should be removed. They should be charged. Period!

Didn’t I hear him say they went out there to isolate themselves because of Covid, and they adopted a dog , and then the dog got pregnant?, and then those puppies grew up and got pregnant. But my question is I have adopted a dog from the Humane Society and the requirement is if they are to be neutered or spayed before adoption. That is part of the adoption.

They were attacking people fishing on and just around the island before this though.

@@wanderingthemiddleground5283 Attacked people and then became tame long enough to get them off the island? You can clearly see in the video, the guy is trying to get as close to the dogs as possible to work a reaction out of them. And then he cries victim cuz he got bit. This is what people do when they want their way. There was a homeless woman living on the island and I'm sure the dogs were just the attention grabber they needed. Since the island is no longer allowed to be trespassed on, I assume they got what they wanted with the women having to find another place to live. If the dogs were the issue, then why not just remove the dogs? and let the people fish on the island like they wanted to? Instead, now no one is allowed on the island. 🤷‍♂

Another dumb dog owner. All he had to do was get his dogs neutered or spay, But instead he thought himself to be a breeder and it didn't work out. couldn't sell the dogs and let the situation run out of control. and yes they do grow fast. The way to mostly remedy this situation is for city and state to create dog ownership licenses. own a dog must get a license just like your car, and pay monthly fee's. this way, people who want dogs for all the right reasons will be willing to pay the expense. people who want the benefits of dog protection but don't care to take care of them will likely not want to pay the fees which will detract them from ownership.

Exactly! That's a dog farm. He had a good 2 years of cash income. Now everyone is being banned from an old fishing ground!

He needs to surrender all the dogs so they can get fixed. Low/no cost spay neuter programs save states money in the long run.

To all the Muppets in comments saying they look harmless,go stand on the beach with 2o feral dogs at your feet ,, that's not water running down your leg I'm guessing
