@@yammyyuri9331 I think there is also a common method of just dipping these into a special acid. That oxidizes things in a matter of hours, making it rust. And because it is an acid, the rust partially dissolves into the acid, coating the non-metal parts in the rust as well.

Spray paint comes off so easily even with a good primer a small knock against something and you have a deep scratch or complete area of metal uncovered, l know because l had a few decommissioned guns as replicas, they had been rattle canned and a tiny tap against something brought off the paint. I resprayed with a primer and overlaid with a knock proof laquer, still came off with a careless knock 🤬
