nick strahan stop kissing his fucking ass. Literally all his movies are so overrated. When I watch a movie I expect to see it play out in chronological order and expect to give a shit about the characters but I don't. How are his movies 2 and a half hours long yet there's no moral to the story?

Dad - Shaddup. If you don’t care about his characters, or don’t find his movies intriguing, then that’s _your_ problem. Don’t blame someone else because YOU can’t appreciate a good story with stellar dialogue.

+MuseChick I was expecting a ton of QT hate in the comments, I'm happy that there is lots of love! I just watched H8tful 8 last night (no intermission) and really enjoyed it. I feared it would drag but I was completely immersed from start to finish. Kurt Russell is so legend and Jennifer deserves the Oscar for sure, but they will probably give it to the person in latest Hollywood white guilt movie. I see this year is continuing the trend with "Race."

Thank you. It's telling that Hateful Eight is so polarizing. I think it may end up being the one with the longest legs. It's not my favorite of QT's work, but I can see that it may be the one I come back to and appreciate more and more as time goes on.

Guy Fawkes I instantly thought it was his best work after it was over. It's like all his films rolled into one. As if they were all connected and this was the conclusion. I have a feeling a lot more people will say this over time, as you eluded to

Tomas Jamieson I'm partial to "Kill Bill" because I share his love for the Shaw Brothers and Hong Kong cinema. "Hateful Eight" is definitely where he shows the most growth as a filmmaker and storyteller. His work up to "Inglourious Basterds" has always struck me as the cinematic equivalent of Hip-Hop and Mashup culture's use of samples to create a new artform. With "Inglourious", "Django" and "Hateful" he's working a more original vein than in previous films while at the same time making more traditional films, in a way. Interestingly he says his writing method changed during this period as well. I'm VERY interested to see what the next project will be. He's definitely into a new phase of his career at this point.

While I was not totally sold on the Hateful Eight when I first saw it in 70MM on release, I waited nearly 2 years to watch it again, and now it's my favorite of his films, which I've seen at least 3 more times since. I LOVE this movie, and only wish each character came with their own prequel - since each of them has their own story that brought them to Minnie's. Hateful Eight should have been a cinematic-miniseries.
