Question is, why did the DCM wear like that? Most likely a fault with a gearbox fork. The fork bearings are problematic and can cause broken metal bits to stick to and interfere with the magnets in the gearbox and damage the DCM as well as give false fork position data to the TCU. Very nice video though. I am definitely up for repair, every time. My own Golf Mk7 had a gearbox problem, harsh changes and not going above second gear. I stripped the Mechatronic, testing the solenoids and looking for all the usual faults but it was all good and I put it back together and re-installed it. Turned out to be the dual clutch, a bit of a job to set up but job done. I did the work myself, with a new LUK clutch and dual mass flywheel (nothing wrong with it but sensible whilst the gearbox is out !) for about £700. VW quoted possibility of £6000 for change of gearbox, flywheel and clutch. We must out fox the Main Stealers when we can 😲. They encourage fear and misunderstanding of DSG gearboxes and many garages will simply not touch them. Power to the amateur 😎

Va salut domnul Gigi După 4 ani am intampinat iar probleme cu mechatronic ul. De data aceasta nu a mai fost baza acumulatorului de presiune ci tcu. Nu îl mai citea. Din fericire am avut unul sh pe care l am montat în 2 ore (am avut experienta la operațiunea aceasta ) Acum ma gândesc sa desfac și sa verific placa electronica din el. hi,very good video...im replace at my dq200 the alluminium plate were is fix accumulator.... is possible for you make an video to undestand how to connect only dq200 to vcds ?? is possible with vcds activate the solenoid for test it ?? im want make an system to run a motor,and turn on and off the single actuator for n.cycle to test that firs reinstall the dq200...thanks a lot

Can the trouble code gear selector lever cause mechatronic to fail. My dsg has come up with gear unexpectedly disengaged after a dsg service from vw and a firmware update by them, I want to know if they will blame it on the gear selector reason for mechatronic failure
