He kinda did that when they took Latveria away from Doom for a while and Zorba took over and turned into a dictator. They ended up having to give Latveria back to Doom. (Another Byrne story from the 80s.)

Reed also admitted his intellectual inferiority compared to Doom in "Unthinkable" regarding Doom's ability to understand and wield magic whereas Reed lacks the artistic acumen to do so.

The closest he got to that was unexpectedly from Fortnite, over this last summer they treated him as a world changing/destroying event. This introduced Galatus to more people than Marvel/Sony ever has. Too bad the comics are going way of internet gas and Starfire's kids.

One point of correction and worth clearing up that Doom is not above taking others' powers for himself. He's even stolen and used the Power Cosmic for himself before (in this very telling you even mentioned him taking the Beyonders' powers). He specifically wanted his own herald to be the lure to Galactus, and not himself, it wasn't that he wants to do things with his own tech and magic. As far as he's concerned swiping someone's power is a great display of his own superiority when he feels like phrasing it that way. Otherwise, great recap.

i remember the time in the original secret wars when galactus one shot dr doom who was in galactus space station, or ship, i dont remember, from the war planet. without even looking at doom. doom was so defeated he came to his allies giving up and saying there is no way they could win. i think he just threw himself at the bed and lied there for a while in the dialogue boxes. narration just described the situation like this: galactus detects an intruder in his space station, and quickly disposes of him like an insect

Victors turn as Iron Man ended in invincible Iron Man number 600 when, although he won the fight against the bad guy, his face was scarred all over again. So Victor being Victor, he secluded himself in his castle in disgrace when Zora found him and encouraged him to end the dysfunction occurring in his country with what Victor called “the face that fate keeps thrusting upon him. the face that he chooses.” And you forgot the part where Zora does not blame Victor for using her like a battery and that she trusted him and having a back up plan. Blind faith.

What to know what the Cosmic Force is? It is a Mcguffin (or Macguffin). And those do not know what that word means. It simply means an object that is a desire for one or more characters with little to no explanation behind why or why it exists. It is basically a Plot Device. That is what the Cosmic Force is. A Mcguffin.

The reason Franklin isn't using his power is because it's pretty much gone, he's burned himself out, and I do believe Reed has surmised that it may not ever come back, but that until they know for sure, Franklin shouldn't be doing anything that could exhaust his powers. This was discovered in the 2nd part of the first arc of the FF. That's why he's not doing anything like you'd expect from him because he really can't.
