I think teaching your kids to look to God to solve life's issues. I tried to solve my problems by trying to change my behavior instead of prayer, worship, and inner reflection. The journey between the soul and spirit needs deep work as a believer, unpacking what's in the soul and being able to face it, and receive God's love. I was touched by the biblical woman with the alabaster jar. The oil represented her broken life. Jesus accepted the "dirty" oil, oil purchased with the brokenness of her life. Jesus accepts our brokenness.

Today I was impacted by suffering of mankind, praying for a friend, the way of the cross, and walk toward the place of crucifixion, our tears and blood, joining with the tear, sweat and blood of Jesus, Paul speaks about adding to the suffering of Christ. I had a perception as we walk the journey of the cross we experience Resurrection life. It's death of our emotional self to experience His Resurrection life.

‭‭John‬ ‭14:18‬ ‭AMPC‬‬ [18] I will not leave you as orphans [comfortless, desolate, bereaved, forlorn, helpless]; I will come [back] to you. In a fallen world, we need to experience the continuous presence of the Holy Spirit. Comfortlessness, no relaxation and pleasure. Desolate, emptiness, lonelyness, unhappiness. Bereaved, great loss due to the loss of something precious. Forlorn, pityfully, sad, abandoned. Helpless is unable to defend oneself or to act without help. When we worship in spirit and truth, it should unlock devine life. The key to unlocking the fountain within must be brokenness on the inside, I can't only He can. Maybe a deep dependence, rest in God to work the change, rather than a self organised effort. Totally surrender to the wind of change, wanting the change to take place on the inside. God doing it rather than a me effort.
