Join us this Earth Day 2021 as Dr. Jane Goodall, DBE, Founder of the Jane Goodall Institute and UN Messenger of Peace reflects on the state of our planet and the actions we must each take to create a better future for all. It's easy to feel overwhelmed by the many threats facing humans, other animals, and global ecosystems, but Jane's message is clear: every single one of us has a role to play and makes a difference. "Let's think of every day as Earth Day."
You can support the work of the Jane Goodall Institute to make a difference at janegoodall.org/donate .
You can also participate in #JanesGreenHope at janegoodall.org/janesgreenhope

Dear Dr. Goodall the SISTER OF MOTHER Earth you have covered whole humanity and all Religions and the way explained made me conscious of our unconsciousness towards Mother Earth although the Integral Yoga of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother and Jainism have cautioned and enlightened us for being custodian of Mother Earth that we have used as owners and damaged our own vicinity and ambience. Thanks you very much for a wonderful and focussed eye opening message as a SISTER OF MOTHER EARTH and TIDE OVER THE PENDEMIC VICTORIOUSLY.

Dr Goodall, I hope humans not only listen to what you are saying but actually do something about it.....I fear only some will and the majority will follow the same destructive path we are on.....because as a species we are not known for "learning from our past"....but rather making the same mistakes over and over again......we could have been so much better then this be it not for greed & ego......humans are all about short term profitability not long term sustainability......what a waste of a species that had so much potential. Sooo sad the other marvelous, fascinating species on this magnificent planet are stuck with us.

Dear Dr. Jane, you have brought tears to my eyes... As I sit here in lock down, far from my native home, I trust your words will resonate throughout the world. For so many years humans have taken, taken, taken and given very little back. Now Mother Earth has said "Enough is enough" and unless you heed my actions, I will bring greater sorry to humanity". Let us hope it is not too late to ask for her forgiveness and mend our ways.........

Hi Dr Jane, I wonder at this channel of communication. I hope that it is possible that you read comments here, because your message merits a huge discussion - too much for you to get through yet I see less than 30, including my own “self-serving” post providing a link to information about my invention, “SolaRoof”. As an inventor I relate to your vivid waking dream - my inventions stem from lucid dreaming when I was a child of 13 years. Now I’m nearly 70 years of a life dedicated to creation of “living structures” - a dwelling place created in harmony with the whole of life. This work of innovation - patents, research and development, collaboration and demonstration has taken me around the world and tested humanity’s receptivity to radically rethinking “what is a building? Daily natural sunlight on the roof of a typical American home delivers 10x the typical family energy consumption. Further, If these roofs were transparent, as is the SolaRoof, then families could grow food for an extended family and have a huge surplus over needs of pure “water-from-air” by harvesting the transpiration of the leaf canopy. I wan you to know that this is not an idea, I have been building these systems for 40 years and soon you can have “a small space to make the world a better place” this is the PyraPOD that everyone can build in the backyard, that communities can build in the schoolyards. We would love to give you a PyraPOD for your own use - what a joy to know that, together we can build a world of abundance for all! God bless you and thank you for your lifetime of dedication to life-science, to knowledge, to love of nature, to protecting Mother Earth.

Thank you~ i honestly feel like the most important aspect to earth recovery is soul healing firstly...then they are well to others and the environment...and for me, the most vital is the soul healing with God, our Mother and Father as this fragility and tragic wound is creating a living horror. The pointed blame a child directs is toward God (Mother and Father) and the harm was created by their foster parents or brother or sister. The realization we are all children of God and given to foster parents as a blessing as God desires us to engage in the process of life intimately...as this is Gods creation and God desires and intimacy with each and everyone of us always. God is teaching us about love and foster parents are not experiencing love as much as they are experiencing their addictions (emotionally). This creates a lasting hunger. And consumption is survival. The expectation they will die without the quenched deepening hunger and the sacrifices via tunnel visions, disillusions. Truth and the expression of all truths is essential for transformation. As this will rest the fear (false expectations appearing real). There are people who don't care what dies if they fear they will die. Resistance to emotional process creates all sorts of desperate sacrifices as is known. Truth! humbly given will revive all* to the experience of life. As life's source of sustenance is love given from God. Blocking life = blocking Gods love. Breathing is a form of consumption we neglect gratefully. It even has the word eat :) and air is the constant hug of God

Dr Jane Goodall DBE shines as an incredibly bright beacon of love, compassion and determined work for all species of life and their habitats. She demonstrates an impeccable proactive sanity, in an intellectually & morally debased world, where politicians would rather brush reality under the carpet or demote this beautiful unique planet to the status of a 'resource' to be exploited. Bless you Jane for all your inspiring and incredible work ~ in my heart, I believe it keeps the world revolving.

I wonder if the "children" Jane Goodall envisioned were spiritual in nature, much like the vision itself. If so, the necessity of fixing as much as we can for Earth, while on Earth, is clearly overdue, and perhaps only the spirits of children that remain may truly save Gaia.

The common ground for both Republicans and Democrats on energy infrastructure is hydrogen. That is a good thing because hydrogen is actually the only effective pathway for us to fight climate change at scale -- and we would need an enormous amount of hydrogen to do that. The best way to make such a vast volume of hydrogen now is from natural gas -- using carbon capture and storage. There is lots and lots of natural gas all over the world to help us do this, including right here in the United States and nearby Canada. Blue hydrogen can power our cars, trucks, buses, trains, ships, airplanes -- it can even power the electric generators we would need to shore up our electric grid so it can charge the battery cars coming down the pike. With blue hydrogen, we can also make fertilizer, cement, and steel. But how would we be able to deliver all this hydrogen across our vast land? The same way we deliver natural gas -- with pipelines. Indeed, we can even use our existing gas pipelines if we simply reline them with plastic inserts, as they are doing now in the UK -- or as we are doing here when steel pipes start leaking. And as far as setting up the hydrogen infrastructure is concerned; we should stop conflating the source of the hydrogen with the means of delivering it. One has nothing to do with the other. Arguments against the source of hydrogen should not get in the way of us setting up a safe and efficient way to deliver it to those that need it.

First of all, jane goodall was NOT a scientist or biologist when she started to get interested in chimps. She had a secretary degree and just obtained a degree in enthology by studying the chimps. What many people dont know is that because of her naïf enthousiasm, lack of expertise in biology and (too) close contact with her first chimps, she nearly wipped out a whole group of chimps that got sick because she failed to understand that she was the carrier of many deadly virusses. Since chimps are not vaccinated against these human virusses, many chimps died of simple colds and lung diseases. You can check it on her own early videos when the chimps of a group suddenly had runny noses and started to get ill after she made close contact with a baby chimp. She couldn't understand why they got ill and after some time, almost 80% of the group died. If she had been a real biologist, she would have known and would have taken precautions. Butt thats what happend back in the days when rich, bored and uneducated people thought they needed to do something. She did raise awareness about the chimps but her amateuristic debut came at the cost of many chimp lives.
