Dr. Kiran Bedi on Saturday made a visit to the East Traffic Station at Puducherry along with a team of officials from Raj Nivas.
She spoke at length to the Traffic Personnel about road safety and the importance of keeping a vigil on the roads.

While she was giving her speech, I counted 54 bikes passing by without helmets - easy Rs 54,000/- in 30 minutes. That's one traffic cops monthy cost to exchequer recovered in 30 mins!!! 🤣🤣🤣

A difficult job in non hindi/english area, but managing very well. 1. Please appreciate the officers too who do their job well. This well increase the moral of him/her and others too; and decrease the bossism culture. 2. Equip the police officers with latest technology like camera etc. Make everything online through intranet for yourself to monitor. 3. Give them "specific" job and monitor them using a monitoring team or through camera/technology. "TECHNOLOGY NEVER CHEAT"

From your question it appears that you are not from India. Let me attempt to answer your question. India has several states and each state has its own language. The Governor is the President's representative appointed in the state and normally hails from a different state. In this state - Puducherry, they speak Tamil and some speak French as it was a French colony. Dr. Kiran Bedi does not know Tamil or French. She can speak English, Hindi and her own mother tongue. There is a Chief Minister elected by the state who is a local person. The Chief Minister is the executive office and is responsible for administering the state just as the Prime Minister is in a lot of countries. The President or Monarch (e.g. Queen Elizabeth of England) are largely ceremonial and the Governor represents the President. Dr. Kiran Bedi is no ordinary Governor. Unlike most Governors in India who just enjoy their lives and the huge accomodation and perks given, Dr. Kiran Bedi wants to be actively involved in the welfare of the state she governs. These videos are example of her wonderful work. We all wish that all Governors in India take a lead from Dr. Kiran Bedi. Years ago, Dr. Kiran Bedi occupied the highest office of the Police Force in India. A gutsy but compassionate person she is. A true leader.
