I was tremendously impressed by Dr. Bertagnoli‘s address. We are fortunate to have had her come to UAB as this was her first visit to Birmingham and she spoke eloquently, clearly, and directly about the NIH, it’s purpose and mission and goals. I learned so much more about the NIH and hope that NIH funding will not continue but increase. Our state and our citizens deserve it in my opinion. Marnix Heersink MD
