These are baby back ribs that marinated overnight in Dr. Pepper, a chopped onion and approximately 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce. The rub - a simple Kansas City style. Smoked on the Oklahoma Joe's Highland smoker using Apple wood and small amount of Hickory in the beginning. Smoked on April 2, 2017.

@@SmokinwithKasket You too! Just busting your balls over trivial stuff! I've got to try your method on BBR with the Dr. pepper! I usually smoke them for a couple hours then use my Sous Vide for 12 hours and finish off on the grill. Maybe I'll try the Texas crunch on the final grill with the same butter and brown sugar and BBQ sauce. Enjoy the debate!

Be sure to try the Creme Soda rib recipe. Those ribs were amazing!!! You mentioned Sous Vide. I have a coworker who does Sous Vide on his meats. He’s got me interested now. I may start playing with that technique. Try the Dr. Pepper or Creme soda ribs and be sure to let us know your thoughts. Give me an idea on a good Sous Vide circulator to purchase for a beginner. Thanks buddy. Best-

@@SmokinwithKasket I suggest the Anova Precision Cooker with Wifi. Amazon for $199. Not cheap but I'm not sure you will dislike it. The thing you must remember is that just cooking it Sous Vide is not the end result you want. It ust be seared off for the best taste. That may be a little pricey, and you still want to buy a container for it. Then you might want some brakets to hold the food in place while it cooks. I have about $350 in my setup. Buy the best first, so you don't buy cheap and then buy the best later.

Robert Wilson - Awesome advice thank you. I will check that out. I know my coworker always talks about searing with a torch after Sous Vide. He says the results are phenomenal. A new adventure I’m thinking. Thank you so much for the direction on this.
