8:53 Forgive me if I'm dense and missing something but why does every Qingque player I see when they have their ult without a quartet they use skill points to get a full quartet BEFORE using her ultimate. Her ult gives her a quartet for free when you use it, why not use the ult then the enhanced basic attack afterwards to save skill points...? OR even just use skill points to get an enhanced basic attack WAIT until you use the basic attack and then use her ult to have a quartet for her next turn

because you only want to use her ult while buffed from the enhanced attack buff after using skill and you dont want to use the ult quartet appart from a bail out if you cant get one from enhancing or run out of skillpoints

Using skill points buffs her damage, if you already have a quartet you won’t be able to buff her damage anymore and therefore she’ll do considerably less damage. But if you use skill points and get the buff, since there is no need for the ult aside from the damage it does you use it after consuming the skill points so the ult does more damage and you won’t get the quartet in her next turn. I hope that was easy to understand.

Basically what was already said, but lemme add a little bit more to it - Qingque's skill buffs her damage% until she ends her turn. It can be stacked up to 4 times, which, at skill level 10, is 112% damage bonus. Add in her 2nd ascension trace (each skill usage gets a 10% damage bonus additionally), and add in skill level 12, it becomes a 40% damage bonus at minimum, so, more than an entire orb, and a 160% damage bonus at max. Using QQ's skill is just too much damage bonus to give up. Using her ult to get the free trigger of her talent prevents her from getting this massive damage% bonus. - Qingque's talent buffs her attack by a very good margin, 72% at talent rank 10. However, unlike her skill, this buff is gone specifically after using her enhanced basic attack. Meaning, using her ult after her basic attack, and even the follow-up attack from her E4, cannot benefit from her attack% bonus. In order to maximize QQ's damage, you want to use her skill as many times as possible, up to 4, trigger her talent, and then use her ult. That's the peak of QQ's ult. However, this is for a hypercarry QQ setup. In dual DPS setups that include QQ, using her ult to trigger her talent is a pretty viable strat, I have noticed.

Basically for more damage
