@@chenthehobbyist.2285 Shall we talk some more? :) Dr. Shashi Tharoor is from Kerala.... and he and his ancestors are/were from the "Nair caste" from that part of India. These Nairs were historically a warrior community. Before the 1800's the Nairs community and the Brahman caste of Nambudiris (you can read about them in Wikipedia) formed an alliance and ruled a part of modern Kerala, which later became the Travancore State from 1729. The Nambudiris were owners of vast tracks of land and were/are guardians of the temple. How do these two prominent castes (the Nairs and the Nambudiris) ruled over the common people at that time? If you're not a member of these two castes you are an Avarna (without caste).... and here are some of the laws....(It's a long list... haha): (a) You're not allowed to approach a member of the Nambudiri caste as much as 72 paces distance. (b) Nair men could wear moustaches, but not allowed for any lower castes. (c) If you're not a Nambudiri or a Nair woman, you're not allowed to wear gold or silver ornaments. (d) If you're not a Nambudiri or a Nair, you're not allowed to carry an umbrella or wear footwear (shoes/chappals). (e) If you're not a Nambudiri or a Nair, you're not allowed to go to school or drink from public wells. (f) If you're not a Nambudiri or a Nair, you're not allowed to wear new clothes without ﬁrst making them soiled (this is really sick). (g) If you're not a Nambudiri or a Nair, you're not allowed to put up walls or gates round your houses or use tiles on your roof. ETC. And If you're not a Nambudiri or a Nair, you can avoid the laws and penalties by paying a tax for each restrictive measures. There are as much as 100+ form of taxes for the common people of the lower castes.... and these Nambudiris and Nairs castes were very very rich partly because of these taxes. You may have heard/read the news about the horde of treasures found in The Padmanabhaswamy temple in Trivandrum in 2011.... you can read about it on the internet..... those were part of the hidden wealth of the Nambudiris. So, the British were guilty of Imperialism of over India.... I guess that's true. But, what about the "Cultural Imperialism" of certain Indians to their fellow Indians in the past? Is Dr. Shashi Tharoor willing to pay a compensation for the ills of his ancestors to the various communities living in the state of Kerala today ..... as he demanded of the British in the Oxford speech in 2017? :D :D

Thank you Dr. Shashi Tharoor for the wonderful convention. I don't know you politically but I know you as the gentlemen who stumped the British Empire with that wonderful and thought provoking speech in Oxford and others elsewhere. It was a pleasure gaining your wisdom whilst listening. POV: As a Naga, I believe Naga's should learn more how to ask questions and I mean good questions. We have not developed that yet. A man who has almost covered the globe with such a high calibre is not present to listen to children whining about the past. In order to become a great society we need to focus on shaping our present generation for the future, not digging the past. What have Nagas done so far that caught the attentions of world? Little, very little or say few droplets in a vast ocean. What a crowd, until the whining and the grumbling at the end!

The best show ever in Nagaland! It's just that the Q & A was not properly conducted, its always mandatory to have a stipulated time for every section of a dialogue which was not done and again there was a gender discrepancy where only one guy got the chance to question that also was a wayward which could have been stopped by the volunteers, the softer gender got to ask all the questions which the host could have corrected that. Anyway all in all this is just the beginning so we all hope that next time this small errors will be rectified. A big thumbs up to lungleng show!

The problem was the time. I can guarantee you that he would’ve given more time to the people for questions but he arrived late to the venue because of traffic most probably so the Q&A section had to be cut short.

@@Yao686 , yes the show started late and more time could not be devoted to Q&A but adding more misery was, the questionnaire were not precise to their questions and that took more time. On this kind of programme the audience are always reminded again and again to shorten their question and if they go overboard they are to be stopped by the volunteers which did not happen. Anyway like i said this is just the beginning so we all hope for a much better Q&A next time.

No one could have done this better than you Mr. Lungleng. It is sad for me that i couldn’t attend this special visit of Mr Tharoor. I’m not a fan of him because of his party but because of how much knowledge he possess about the country and the world. He will be a great PM if elected in future. This was such a healthy discussion. I usually don’t watch an hour long discussion but it was him so I completed haha.

There has never been a doubt that the talk would be an interesting one.. but was wondering if we were even near Sashi Tharoor to have the show meaningful. It was delightful watching and listening because it also tells us that Nagas have somewhat started moving.. also glad to hear the apology about the outlandish statement 😂

If young Nagas have to grow and stand with the rest of India and the world, it is through the ideology of Congress party have. If the likes of Dr. Shashi Tharor, Sachin Pilot, Dr. Kanhaiya Kumar, Chidambaram could visit more to Nagaland and have sessions like this, Nagaland will see a new vibrant generation. I hope AICC will take note of this. Gomutra politics will not help young Nagas to grow.
