Yknow, the Ancient One talks about how she could never forsee past the moment of her death, despite however hard she tried. It is somewhat amusing to think then that she KNEW she had to refuse Strange and have him mope outside for a few hours, and furthermore, she had to abandon him on Everest. "Any second now" isn't hope, it's literally 'okay, any second now'.

chuuchu my point wasn’t that she viewed all the outcomes too it’s that if doctor strange was capable of doing it then so could the ancient one, she probably could have seen alternate versions of herself, she was alive at the battle of New York when banner went back to talk to her she knew about doctor strange before his accident, I think she knew other threats other versions of the world faced or were facing besides the ones where she was dead already or died if what she says is true that she can’t see past her death. The ancient one could have used her powers to check out other timelines and saw her talk with banner among who knows what else.

@@tinyrick4991 i think kacilius was supposed to be the next prodigee, but he turned dark, so strange was the next candidate. i'm not sure though if strange and kacilius could have worked together, or if strange needed the ancient one to die to finally get his revelation about himself, unlike kacilius who went rogue because he had the preconceived notion that the ancient one was a liar, and had no precedent that these actions were bad

That's something that the MCU seems to pull off perfectly. In any MCU movie ever that has an infinity stone in it, the entire story revolves around the theme of that stone. In Dr Strange, it's time. Stephen Strange always wants to be on time, he doesn't want to be late, or run out of time. Guardians of the Galaxy. It had the power stone. Everyone in that movie always wanted to be more powerful than each other.

I just realized something: Strange must have been doing some gardening when Thor showed up. I know it's a part of his design in the comics, but he wasn't wearing gloves in Infinity War.

From what I've read, the special effects artists didn't feel like putting all his scars on his hands for a short cameo. So, the gloves make an appearance. Him gardening is a hilarious idea though.

I don't know the number of times strange died in the movie while fighting Dormammu but when even one death is so painful , how much pain he would have felt dying so many times. Gosh that alone would leave someone scarred for life and to top it off he saw the 14,000,605 possibilities of everyone dying. Tony just saw one time and he was devasted , I can't even begin to fathom how much devasted strange would have been seeing so many deaths in all these possibilities. Moreover, He saw Tony die in the one possibility that made them win the war and also he was witness to everyone forgetting spider-man. Gosh I want to hug doctor strange so bad.

I’m not sure because even though Watson’s injury was psychosomatic, in the Sherlock series that Benedict was in that wasn’t really a huge part of the story, it was only really relevant in the first episode. I can definitely see the Marvel people doing something like that though, they’re good at references and foreshadowing and that part of storytelling overall
