Good review dan. Maybe it doesn't have a speaker due to its waterproof capabilites. A waterproof speaker would just put the price up.

I go river Holes that are deep the 10ft. Especially if dredging it's nice to find a pet pointer that can go the depth and not have to worry

I love this pinpointer so much. It's the first and only one I've used, but I know I would not like a beeping one more. The vibration and colored light system feels so natural for pinpointing, like you're FEELING and SEEING how close you are to the target. I haven't even tried water searching yet, but if I do I'll be glad to have a waterproof pinpointer.

I thought you'd been absent for a while... Starting to think I wasn't getting notifications? Lol. That's a little gem! I'm a bit like you, I prefer to hear the beeps as well. The price is amazing though for a waterproof unit. My "Minelab Pro Pointer 25" retails here in Australia for $185 at the cheapest and you still have to cover the speaker holes with your finger when you give it a rinse! $185 and it's not waterproof!?! It's the only gripe I've got with the thing, other than that it's pretty reliable. Great find though mate! 👍

Good to see ya again Dan!! Missed ya!! Anyway, I could hear it clearly when you were testing it. If that was just vibration as it got close to the battery then it made one heck of a noise! But as you said if you're outside in wind or under water I doubt it could be heard! Regardless it seemed to be a good product for the price! Can't wait til they start selling them here across the pond in The States!! ☮

I think the vibrate is there for underwater use as it can go to near 30 feet. No use for sound in the water.

Ours has stopped the sound and vibrate function sadly. So now rely on watching for the lights which is not ideal.

First off let me say that I am pleased the rumour of you being adducted by aliens is untrue. Second being quite deaf I only work on vibrations. I think it is better than sound. I also have to use a pick and the pin pointers that work over a longer distance is not as good as a short distance pin pointer With this one I would know when to be careful with my pick blows, because I would be close in the hard ground. Otherwise I would be cautious too far away. It would do me.
