Draco, yes. Snape, no. Draco was just a kid who didn't have a choice to be anyone other than who his father wanted him to be. Snape was a bitter man who bullied innocent kids because of what happened to him while he was in school. James was a jerk, but there was absolutely no reason for Snape to take his frustration and anger out on Harry. Instead of correcting the behavior that hurt him in the past, he allowed more children to be hurt the same way he was hurt. Not to mention, had Voldemort kept his promise and spared Lily, Snape would've still been a Death Eater. The only reason he changed sides was because his boss killed the woman he was obsessed with. He was perfectly fine with Voldy killing James and Harry (who, may I remind you, WAS AN INFANT!), so long as Lily lived. He switched sides for himself, not for the greater good. And he protected Harry because Dumbledore told him to. And he did the bare minimum at that. Severus Snape was, as tragic a backstory as he had, a villain through and through.

@@WinterLynne94 Draco was too a villain? He CHOSE to be a jerk to the golden trio when he could’ve just forgave. Plus, Bellatrix was saying in the 6th book about how Draco wanted to be a death eater and was very excited. However, he didn’t know how hard it would be. He wasn’t misunderstood whatsoever.

@@slytherpuff_pottaheditz Prime example of misunderstanding the character. The behavior he displayed is LEARNED behavior. Meaning someone taught it to him. We've seen how Lucius treats people, Draco obviously picked it up from him. He was taught all his life that anyone other than purebloods were beneath him, he never had a chance to learn any different. If someone at school had reached out to him, maybe said something to him about the way he treated people, then that seed would've been sown. But everyone took his behavior at face value because of his surname. Draco was just a kid, he deserved a redemption arc SO much more than a 38-year-old man who openly bullied children because he couldn't let go of a 20-year-old grudge. It's sad when fanfic writers can handle a character better than the original writer.

"Every saint has a past and every sinner has a future" The character development of Draco is soooo good...so lovely...I mean no character has developed as much as Draco... Yes Draco was not always good but he did realise his mistake and he changed thats what matters right? Learning from mistakes is the best type of learning...he was raised liked that...its so sad that the Golden Trio broke many rules but still got praised whereas Draco didn't get into half they trouble they did (Chamber of secrets)yet he is considered evil... (Honestly love Harry and Golden Trio and they were legends because of the extra effort they did)... It takes a lot of willpower,resilience,courage to go completely against your family...he didn't even had a single friend no one to share his happiness and sadness with that doesnt justify his errors but shows his sufferings...just wanted his mother and himself to survive and trust me its not selfish to love yourself...Its okay to be coward at times common no one is perfect all the time... This edit is PERFECT Evelyn...I love how you depict all characters Remus,Harry,Draco,.... because all of them are unique and Best in their own ways.... To anyone who actually read till here:Have a good day,smile because life goes on don't worry,take care....

Draco is good inside, his parents changed him I can tell that he cared for Hogwarts. There was actually a deleted sene where Draco in the last film threw Harry Potter his wand when he gets out of Hagrids arm

Honestly the only time I wanted to yell at Harry was when he saw Draco crying and having a panic attack and didn’t try to help him. Instead he broke him even more than he already was by making him feel even more guilty about what he was being forced to do. That’s not the Harry Potter I know.

I still feel disappointed how they removed the scene of Draco throwing his wand to Harry after he jumped out of Hagrid's arms. That would have truly solidified his allegiance within the movies.

I LOVE DRACO WITH MY WHOLE HEART AND IT BREAKS MY HEART THAT HE NEVER GOT THE REDEMPTION SCENE💔 He had a shitty childhood and then was forced to join death eaters...he deserved some happiness and I'm so pissed that jk never explored this character..like she could have done more with him...he had a depth to his character.

1:57 the "no one knew me" part kinda hit me harder than it should have, I guess. Draco was probably abused by his father, maybe that's why he's so scared of wands being pointed at him? Like when Hermione did? And the things that his father/family taught turned him into a prideful bully. He could've chosen to be a better person but idk, he must've have been trapped badly in the dark side. And no one on the good side really wanted him to be on their side..

Since it's still is a popular show.
