I love it u guys keep putting in work! Johnny is actually better than u may think look at his highlights before kansas and playing in the pro am game as well...He has more to his game as he was limited in Kansas due to his role on the team....But this kid is really good!

I hope so. There were some other players I was more interested in, but I am very aware many considered Furphy to be "first round talent." The Pacers have been nailing the late first/ early second round picks lately, so I am expecting him to turn into a good player. I was just discussing the draft on reddit yesterday and have been very worried San Antonio might steal a player we need right before we pick, and apparently the Pacers' management had the same worries and paid them some cash to swap picks.

@@normanbell1410 Both are the same size and are great shooter. Johnny might be a better defender if he can gain some weight and muscles. He is only 19 yrs of age.

I really hope he is better and think he can be. I'm not expecting him to be much of a defender from what I've read about his foot speed, but I really hope he attacks the boards nonstop. Good rebounding will get him a place in the rotation because this team desperately needs it.

Good podcast guys, I really like all 3 picks the Pacers made earlier today, and think there is some really good potential there for the future. At the very least, the Mad Ants roster this upcoming season should be pretty stout, imagine starters of PG - Tristan Newton, SG - Kendall Brown, SF - Johnny Furphy, PF - Enrique Freeman, C - Oscar Tshiebwe. I am looking forward to seeing streams of the Mad Ants games as well this upcoming season.

Oscar Tsiebwe is just waiting for his opportunity to prove himself...but Pacers bewar - this is talent that will be playing somewhere. He's a beast around the rim. I would want him around to come in and wear down the opponent no matter who was playing Center around him. I do hope he works on his shot while he has the chance. I can;t wait for the facility up hear in Fishers to show off his skills to the public.

Furphy fits the offensive system, but I'm really intrigued by Freeman. The Pacers have been really good at player development recently, and if they can improve his shooting, he could have a long career in the league, bc his rebounding and defense seem to come naturally.

A lot of Newton's 3s were at the end of the shot clock, which made his percentage look worst. He knocked down his open 3s.

I don't see the brown comp. Newton is an all American guard that averaged 15 6 and 6

Don’t read too far into the shooting percentages for Newton. He was their late shot clock we need to get something up, go to man. So his numbers are a bit lower than what he’s capable of if he’s not the late shot clock heave man

@@user-il3es9bw4v ill enjoy it forever. Thanks. Just cause you sign a couple players dont mean anything. We shot the highest fg% in playoff history against the best defense. That says alot. And dont bring up injuries cause we had em too. Cry cry cry about injuries is all NY and Bucks fans do. Waaaaaaaah. Also, dont forget the Pacers are a young team and only goal this year was to touch the playoffs and we exceeded that. Just imagine what our future is like. We are gonna stomp out the Knicks for the next 10 years. Go Pacers for life!
