I wish Haliburton would have sit out longer and not worry about the 50 million bonus moeny that he is eligible for due to the amount of games played. Jaylen Brunson woulnd't have done that. Hell, he didn't even come clost to taking a max contract even though he's just as valuable as Haliburtion.

He wants to take A bow for his Kings prediction when they won more games then they did the year prior or the exact same and were a top 6 seed the entire year until Monk and Huerter got hurt and STILL bounced the Warriors out the play in. Kings had a BIGTIME matchup issue with the Pelicans. 0-6 against the Pelicans including play in. I GUARANTEE you the Thunder wouldn't have swept the Kings like they did Pelicans. When other teams get injured it's the reason they lost. When Pacers lose Tyrese and didn't have Mathurin entire playoffs not one media talking heads used that as an excuse why Pacers lost even though they outplayed Boston two games without them. I don't ascribe to the whole injury thing but the damn media talking heads sure as Hell do unless it's the Kings or Pacers. Then injuries don't matter

He makes fair/logical points but I've been A Pacer fan since the Chuck Person days. Pacers NEVER look good on paper. No one picked them to make the eastern conference finals and take the Heat to 7 In 2013 after Granger got hurt and Lance began starting. On Paper damn near every team in the NBA looked better on paper. No one in their right mind would have ever predicted those core players in the 90s on paper to make FIVE eastern conference finals. The East was the best conference by far back then nor even close. The year Pacers finally broke through and made the finals, the Bucks were the EIGHTH seed with Ray Allen, Sam Cassell, Glen Robinson, Tim Thomas, Danny Manning etc etc etc. They made the eastern conference finals the very next season and took Philly to 7 games. Bucks were LOADED. I understand it could have and most likely would have been different if Giannis played but the Pacers were 4-1 during the season WITH Giannis. For whatever reason that's always overlooked and not stated. It can put MORE pressure on a team when they are the favorite. Team USA BARELY beat Nigeria and were down 15 late in the 3rd quarter. For all we know Pacers would have played even better knowing all the opposing team key players were healthy. It's all conjecture. I think people are sleeping on Pacers two young lottery picks in Mathurin and Jarace Walker. Jackson will be stronger and better after tasting the playoffs. Wiseman is going to absolutely FLOURISH with Tyrese. They are going to flow SEAMLESS with one another. If Tyrese can unlock Jalen Smith. I can't wait to see what Wiseman is going to look like. I think Pacers will be better then both Philly and Milwaukee and will be right there with the knicks and Boston. This team will never get respect from the opposing fan base. Pacers are hated just like they were when Reggie played.

17:25 Hartenstein was the backup Center behind Robinson. I think he looked better because they were playing him all the time.

Philly and Bucks are shaky as heck, even with moves. PG13 is on his last big contract and the ink is dry. BOS, NY and then it's wide open, but don't overlook a ORL breakout this year...

Imagine if we'd gotten Hartenstein and OG, GG Jackson, Cam Whitmore or Hendricks. Didn't trade our picks for this year. Possibly traded up for J Williams. Doubtful they could have done that. But you get what I'm saying. Went after Caruso. A bunch of what ifs. I hope they get the best out of the young guy's they have and that Pascal isn't taking up space. He needs to be great Defensively, or it doesn't make much sense. Because he's not consistent enough offensively.

Mathurin is so bad at defense, there was no question to me the Pacers were better when he was out. I’m so flabbergasted at how much the Pacers fanbase are unwilling to recognize this. The Pacers had no problems on offense at all in the playoffs. The only way for them to be better is to get players that are better at defense. Adding a bad defender in mathurin to your playoff lineup is guaranteed to make the team worse.

@@vancearmstrong4542This is unfortunately true. As excellent as he can be as a half court scoring threat the defense has to improve. If he can’t at least develop to an Aaron Nesmith caliber defender he has to be traded. Him and Tyrese don’t fit together, too ball dominant to work out.

I think Turner is too embedded into the org for us to trade him. He fits perfect with both Hali & Siakam. I think he would be willing to take a 30M +8% 3 or 4 year deal and I think Pacers org will be willing to offer that. Hali & Siakam are too incredibly talented and selfless to risk moving to a new team. If they want to also keep Mathurin, I see them moving Nemhard for an expiring to free up cap or just bit the bullet and run near 2nd apron for a few years. Saying he made $20M last year overlooks the fact that he got the $35M bump in 22-23. His ave salary over the 3 year renegotiation + extension was $25M a year. $30M is not that big of a bump for him. And lastly to the argument $30M for a non all-star you are ignoring how much the cap has increased in recent years. Player - 24-25 Salary - # of all star appearance Fred van fleet - $42M - 1 Lauri Markkanen - $42M - 1 Ben Simmons - $40M - 3 Darius Garland - $37M - 1 OG Anunoby - $37M - 0 Brandon Ingram - $36M - 1 Jamal Murray - $36M - 0 Michael Porter Jr - $36M - 0 LaMelo Ball - $35M - 1 DeAaron Fox - $35M - 1 Desmond Bane - $34M - 0 Deandre Ayton - $34M - 0 Immanuel Quickley - $33M - 0 Isiah Hartenstein - $30M - 0 Jerami Grant - $30M - 0 Jordan Poole - $30M - 0 Devin Vassell - $29M - 0

From start of 2023 season to December Ty was averaging 27ppg and 12.6 or 12.8 apg. He did that through at least 30 games last year. IMO the Playoff injury argument isn't really valid because the guys who filled in for those that were injured played their asses off and we beat the bucks 4/5 times with Giannis regular season. Knicks should have been a 6 game series, one of those games was the incorrect kicked ball call game which absolutely changed the outcome of that game.

I think a realistic convo is the Myles Turner saga.. He's getting a large offer and I do believe he wants to stay regardless, but I can also see the potential for disaster and losing him for nothing. We should absolutely explore a trade if it's there. the pessimism surrounding Alperen Sengun could be wildly interesting. Bam is absolutely a fantastic idea as well. JJJ as well, both those options depend on their teams. AD is not leaving LA unless something severely wrong happens. A Lebron injury is about the only way. Houston and New Orleans are absolutely realistic for multiple players. I dont see Jabari, but Tari Eason fits like a glove. Herb Jones is a dream, perhaps New Orleans gives a second thought about BI and end up needing to move Trey (whom we should have drafted, same with Herb) Kuminga and Moody both fit and can and want to play 3. I wouldn't hate a late season trade deadline deal that includes Wiggins. Nembhard is as valuable any young piece and just upped his value on a world stage, with glowing endorsements from SGA and Murray. Best case all our young guys step up and create a string of contract issues because thats just a good problem to have. OKC, Nets, Bulls, Heat, Pistons, Grizzlies also have great role/starter calibers that would also be awsome. I love Santi Aldama, GG Jackson., Jovic, Jdub (desperate OKC only), Cam Johnson, Demar Derozen, Fonteccio, etc are all players to scope. Saddiq Bey is an interesting reclamation project.

I don't watch this too often just because the length is longer than I like to listen to. But I love that your trade talks now involve taking the Lakers center from them lmao. Fuck all the Turner trade talks, and especially Turner to the Lakers trade talks. So it is refreshing to hear a "Pacers take the Lakers Center" take. And in response to the topic. I think Nembhard in hist first year of new contract is the trade. IMO he got overpaid. Nesmith was underpaid and better at D. Things could change next year depending on how Mathurin plays...

The biggest position we need is small forward and realistically Cam Johnson and Kyle Kuzma contracts could fit in. Johnson’s shooting would help Haliburton in the starting lineup and maybe Myles takes less money if we make the right move. I really don’t think we can keep Turner and Mathurin on the same team so one has to go and I would rather have Mathurin but if he wants to start then we have to move him. If Turner wants the big money then try for the big man Neemias Queta since Haliburton likes him from Sacramento. Queta and Wiseman are both young big athletic players and reasonable contracts. Cam Johnson would be a perfect fit for the Pacers in my opinion
