When i bought my trd pro tundra in 2017 my dealership told me to get max power and torque out of the power train, to run it in tow hall mode with traction control off. I dont think ive ever seen an acceleration test on a tundra with those settings though. And when you do do it, you can definitely feel a big difference.

Tundra is strong enough to tow space shuttle. Tundra went 1 million miles on one single engine without being rebuild. Tundra seat fabric didn't even worn-out after 1 million miles. Tundra frame lasted 1 million miles. Tundra cab corners lasted one million miles. Tundra exhaust manifold bolts lasted 1 million miles. Tundra engine lasted 1 million miles without blowing spark plugs. Tundra is the only million miles gas truck without problems. To many people focus on looks and forget that looks are deceiving. To many people call reliability is outdated, and favor issues as advanced technology. I know truth hurts, but it's reality.

Alright in my opinion those times could have been improved significantly with an actual launch off the line. I own a first gen tundra, but also with a supercharger & tune ( and CAI & straight pipe). While my truck is a lot lighter compared to these newer gen tundras, first gens like mine came with the 4.7 liter and about 100 less hp stock. But the few times I took it to the drag strip the fastest time was a 14.2 sec. with a 3 in lift and 33’s. But I actually launched it off the line. The second run they had it looked as though they waited till the lift turned to even touch the gas instead of trying to brake boost it. Idk my opinion they could’ve ran a faster time but that’s just me

It would be worth going to Bandimere just for the feeling of being able to slam it down and drive literally at max speed, and not get in trouble.

Motor trend tested this trucks single cab version at sea level in 2008. The best 0-60 was 4.4 seconds and best quart mile time was 13 flat. That’s faster then a 370z and on par with a 5.0 mustang before the 10 speed and bump in power.

nick logan the need to turn traction control off too. If you ever drive a tundra turn it off and back on and its crazy how much power it kills, it even says it in the manual it kills power till 60mph

completely disable the tracron control by having the key off hold down the t/c button before turning the key then keep holding and turn the keep to ACC while still holding the t/c button for 3 seconds then start the truck and it will be completely disabled unlike the half disabled with the button

Perhaps he meant 0-100. The lightest 5.7 supercharged Tundras with no additional modifications see 0-100 as low as 11 seconds Vs 14 and change. I guess that is only 3+ seconds but it's quite noticeable.

I think the altitude has something to do with the time slips. Bottom line, it's a truck. With all terrain tires. Hardly a good formula for drag racing.

2017 2.7 EcoBoost f150 low 14s stock 0-60 6 second. Love the supercharged v8 sound, but much more potential than that. I wish automakers would twin Turbo the v8 trucks. Think what the coyote twin Turbo and 5.3 LS twin Turbo could put down power and sound wise.
