Still impressed of Josephine getting "upset" in this scene. Fantastic voice acting. :) This was one of the very few well acted argument between characters in the game, most of the time there was a couple seconds between each sentence which kind of killed the pace of the conversation. (this was actually something that got on my nerves) In this scene it was quick and convincing. Slow, messed up arguments in DAI weren't because of the actors though, I guess it's more because of the abondance of possible scenes they had to cut everything in pieces. Je suis impressionnée par l'actrice de Joséphine. :) En plus, cette scène est une des rares où les personnages se disputent avec fluidité. Dans tout le reste du jeu, les personnages arrêtent pas de se couper la parole mais les différents plans sont agencés d'une manière lente qui tue le rythme et apporte peu de crédibilité à la conversation supposément tendue... C'est quelque chose qui m'a bien saoulée tout au long du jeu... J'imagine que c'est à cause des différentes scènes possibles. Ils ont du tout couper drastiquement et recoller ensemble, mais impossible d'avoir des engueulades fluides avec ce système. Là, c'est une cinématique seule sans variations possibles...

+Ray Yukina Only elves can romance Solas so having a female Trevelyan as default Inquisitor excludes him as default romance partner.

adrenalinerush369 No one is more important than Solas story-wise...hmm.. where did you found out that the default for this game is female travelyan anyways? The last 'default' which is in DAO was female elf which is suppose to die at the final battle. But the ads showed a male noble in the trailer. Whereas DA2 would be male mage. Did Bioware gave a statement or something? .....damn me, I never get the memo right.

+Ray Yukina There are no default or canon states/PCs for Dragon Age. What they show you in trailers is simply for marketing purposes.

Ray Yukina I think I should clarify my statement. I was merely trying to address the musings that if we had female Trevelyan as default Inquisitor, then Solas cannot be the default romance since he can only be romanced by female elves. Sorry for the confusion. (English not my 1st language).

Wish Adam Howden had done british man quizzy's voice. He was amazing as Anders in DA2, especially with emotional dialogue.

First time since Haven with Marquis DuRellion that we see Josie really mad and now this time, she does not hide it when let out at last in full, but, again, just like Haven before, she still returns to looking like her sad and sweet little self, awww, bless her. Plus, when she looked scared and sad there, my heart broke and I was reminded of how in Frozen and Frozen 2, how Elsa can make us cry by a single look the same way, tears or no tears. Josie really is the Antivan Disney Princess of the Inquisition alright, along with Elsa and Anna in Frozen 1 and 2, they're practically sisters, or at least, sisters in spirit, right?

So much hate for Paton. Yeah, he fucked up that one line but the rest of the game his performance is FANTASTIC. I honestly like him best as the Inquisitor.

No, he starts really well, but as the game progresses his quality decreases too. Both female are the ones who did it better. Still, my "canon" Inquisitior is male, so I am stuck with Paton's mediocre performance in this game, I didn't like the American male Inquisitior either, as Zevran he does a very good job, but as Inquisitior definitely not.

The 4 actors sound so monotone most of the time (one of the MANY reasons I find the Inquisitor overall boring). This is one of very rare occasions in which the actors showed emotion at all (well, except for Paton/Male British, who even here continued sounding so monotone).

ArashiGalaxy Male Shepard's voice was so boring and so expressionless that I legit almost fell asleep playing, I don't want to say that the VA is terrible, he was really good as other characters he's voiced, but he just wasn't good as Shepard. American male inquisitor's voice while it does show expression sometimes most of the time it sounds out of place, british male inquisitor's voice did better, for me, but in some moments, like this one, it can sometimes sound out of place as well. Bioware, in the ME and DA series was really spot on with the female protagonists and male Hawke, also yes american female inquisitor's voice does almost the same as the male but it's less terrible, a lot of times it's really good, I especially like when the insquisitor is flirting.

+Soundwave to be honest, I thought fem Shepard was kind of bland and boring at points too. Especially in the romance scenes. All the other characters had so much more emotion in their voice.

God the english male va is SO BAD, he sounds like he's found a splinter in his thumb when you pick the angry dialogue, not like he's raging against his impending death.
