I can actually picture this song relating to my Grandad and is recently late brother. His brother was paralyzed for over 20 years. He was given a day to live and beat the odds and lived an extra 20 years. They had a bond like nothing I had ever seen before. Grandad was more than shattered the day he died, more than anyone else. It was so painful for me to see. The lyrics here are beyond emotional as they stand, but listening to them from Grandads perspective is soul-shattering.

This feels like Goku talking to Grandpa Gohan. And it honestly makes this a LOT sadder.

I finished watching Dragon Ball Super Yesterday. It was amazing.

This song really hits hard. This year I lost a lot. Friends, betrayal, family, and myself. I look back on the days when I was still a little kid and miss them, kinda like the song says about Goku's reminiscing on Gohan. I miss those days and would do so much for them to return, stay safe everyone.

In 2020 I lost 7 loved ones. The crazy part is only 1 died directly from covid. 3 friends and 4 family members. One of my childhood best friends was probably the toughest as I didn’t get to go to the others’ funeral but I was her pallbearer. Her daughter, whom I always thought was a splitting image of her mom, came up and gave me the biggest hug like she would always do and she smiled at me and at the moment all I could see was my friend over again. When 2021 came it wasn’t even a celebration at my home, we were just relieved to see 2020 end. 😢 RIP to all my loved ones who passed that year.
