In this video, we're going to be playing the first part of the game Dragon's Dogma 2 in a demo that we played thanks to CAPCOM. In this 10-minute gameplay walkthrough, we take you through the first part of the game that we played showing cool cutscenes and the games combat system.

I genuinely like how talkative pawns are, especially how they interact with each other now. As long as they do not repeat the same lines every 10 minutes though

you can even talk to them, as shown in the latest trailer, during the showcase of the campsite. and i hope they're more than just pack mules. in DD1, they can't throw a rock, much less use Harspud Juice. if they're smart, then they must heal themselves to help the Arisen, should he give them a healing item. how can they do that if they're dead? a Mage won't be enough. i hope DD2 addresses and corrects that.

David Lodge (Grigori's voice actor) was easily one of my favorite parts of the original Dragon's Dogma. The dude's voice just thundered through my house on the stereo. It definitely sounds like he's reprising his role which is a small but big thing that makes me happy.

The dialogue and dialect is as archaic, nostalgic, and cheesy as ever! *chef's kiss* the old-timey basic medieval speech patterns are such a delight to hear make a return.

I love the pawn’s personalities being displayed here. Genuinely entertaining to see them commentating on your travels. Since the Arisen is silent, it’ll be cool to have your main pawn reflect your personality like a mirror. It’d be a clever way to express yourself in game and show the connection between main pawns and Arisen.

@@aquilliusranger2137 Personally, same. I just thought it’d be a neat way to represent the lore. In lore, main pawns are the manifested will of the arisen. They’ll eventually take on your appearance and attitude overtime through a process called “bestowal of spirit”. It becomes fully complete when the arisen dies. I was never a big fan of this though. I think it’d be cooler if we could guide our pawn to have their own will instead of them just inheriting ours.

@@GreenFalcon926 1. we don't know that it's a sequel. 2. we don't know that Grigori is even the Dragon's original name. Hell, if it is a "different" dragon he's awfully similar in both look and personality to the Grigori we see in the first game. This implies to me that An Arisen's personality might be overwritten when they become the Dragon. Essentially, they appear to "Become" Grigori. If not in Name, at least in spirit.

@@lucaswinsor4469 That's why I said it "shouldn't". The Netflix TV series they made based off the games gives a pretty good idea of what happens when an Arisen slays the dragon. It's most likely a sequel to the first, I doubt they would call it DD2 if it wasn't. Would be interesting if they confirm that the dragon we fight, was our Arisen from the first game.

Man, the visual effects are so crisp, the fire enveloping the weapon after the mage pawn used fire boon, the lighting and sparks of high levin, the wind and particles of the strong bow shots. My GPU is trembling.

@@Jambobist I know GPUs get insane nowadays, but the shaders and lightning effects and vfx are really good, I don't know in what planet people live to say it's not impressive, my $100 GPU will probably struggle with it, it's average, I can't afford RTX 3090 ti, like most people. PS5 is also struggling with the game, in demo gameplay videos I've seen they reach 30 FPS at max, and creators are already talking of the possibility of a performance mode.

The range classes in this game are freaking amazing. Even firing an arrow feels so good, I'm always a sword, melee guy but I am seriously considering playing Archer in my first playthrough cause melee could have a hard time against flying enemies.

You'll be fine some of the pawns have the ability to throw you up in the air especially when they have the shield it's a move you can even give them back in DD1 and enough meddling with the pawns will train them to use it when facing air enemies.

@@rush-ingaming3341 "make the game so you can travel in a more time friendly manner" you know you can set up a portalstone for travelling right? No matter what kind of RPG game you play, travelling is one of the game aspect that you can't remove. What is the point of RPG if you can't travelling? "where the only people playing it are people who have a million hours to waste" if you really done only the main story, you can finish the game in like 8 hours. But isn't the point of RPG games is to explore and make the character as how we want them? From your comment I can see you as someone who never play any RPG game at all.

The character's movements feel smooth and agile. Just like in Dogma 1, the tree branches and leaves swaying in the wind look really beautiful. The grass appears to have become more dense. It's cool. I'm looking forward to it.

The Pawns were so very conversational this time around that I'd thought only one of the party was one. Very much hope there are plenty of variations to explore with their personalities to really differentiate them, and influence their behavior.

I like how they didnt change TOO tooo much outside of graphics, fps specs, pawn AI and the already established added features. This just feels like what us DD fans would expect out of a sequel as far as gameplay is concerned. Now I wont crown it just yet seeing as we live in the era of "great showcase, shit launch" but this makes me very hopeful of it being a resounding success. Sometimes sequels don't need to have an entire overhaul of core gameplay features and additions (I'm looking at YOU 343i's Halo, EA sports' FIFA, DICE's Battlefront, Every COD after MW3, Blizzard's Diablo 4), sometimes if they just improve upon their original then that's all they need to do. I cannot wait to dust off my magick bow and destroy some Cyclops and Wyverns.

I hope the sorcerers more disabling and fast charging spells to keep things at distance. One of the things that bugged in the first one was how it was practically impossible to deal with enemies as a sorcerer in a solo play or let’s say just you and your pawn.

As someone who played Dragon's Dogma and beat the game dozens of times I feel i can professionally say "AAAAAAA!!!!! SO HYPED FOR DRAGON'S DOGMA 2 WISH I COULD PLAY IT RIGHT NOW!!!!" So glad that some people are getting to test out the game already im pre ordering as soon as its available to pre order. Hope they kept all the customization you could do with your character and pawn like the first game.

the fact that now the pawns actually will run ahead and show you where you need to go if they know where to go is amazing to me. And that they ask if you want them to show you!! just amazing!! And the first game it was so hard to get your pawn to use skills like launching you in the air. Specially trying to get to places they needed to throw you up yet felt like or never did! Amazing job on how interactive they are this time around! I think Ima have to do a all-thief pawn bandit play through! Or two archers two thief's so We have some range lol

There is a really really small detail that i noticed that really stuck with me, as soon as grigori stsrts to speak in the other languge there is a slight shift in his expression, almost like hes sad or he pities the arisen. So damn cool!

Cant wait to see if they kept Arc of Obliteration as is for Warrior class so satisfying to land it directly on a dragon's Hearts, depleting the HP dots instead of the Hp Bar, cutting hydra's head, and kill Chimera Lion counterpart while its still have some HP left 😆

Ps5 is likely the safer bet. Capcom is still a Japanese developer, they are used to console development and will always prioritize that.
