Thank you that means a lot, just trying to rationalize things the best I can. This vid didn't do too well but no big deal, not everyone has to agree or listen to everything I say I'll just take this experience and see what I can do better in the next one :)

If you’re playing a game designed for controllers on keyboard AND only attack with left click when there’s 10+ skills that combo of each other then no wonder you thought it’s bad :D

Honestly i think the main reason is because there was so much hype around it. So many people calling it their game of the year contender only for it to come out in this state. If it had released in a state where most people weren't having issues with performance, there probably wouldn't have been as much dog piling, and the hype around it just set it up as the perfect target because everyone was paying attention

I still wish they didn’t exist, I’m just sad a good game had to take the heat for something that’s been present in gaming for more than a decade now, and the hate is very selective all of a sudden. Maybe if it wasn’t coupled with the bad performance some are experiencing it wouldn’t blow up as much, and if something good comes out of it great, but sadly I doubt these companies care. Glad you’re enjoying it anyways :)

I dont care about micro transactions. BUT, I have two friends who have the game and they confirm the frame rate issues. They are putting all settings to Low/Medium just to play the game and they still have issues. I will continue to wait to buy the game.

Totally understandable, I didn’t have many issues except the occasional crash but it is unacceptable how poorly optimized the game is on release. Great game at its core, but everything surrounding it they dropped the ball.

Nah dog. U can't even remake a new character without having to pay for it. Basic shit like that. What are u defending. We have games like bg3 and elden ring so no need to defend these trash like this is normal

I don’t really feel like I defended it, or the practice itself. Just observing a curious case why the outrage occurred particularly with this game. And BG3 and Elden Ring are sadly outliers, not the norm (I wish it was different). If we gonna compare every game to them for the next decade we are going to be prematurely dissappointed more often than not. Not trying to defend it but DD is a very specific game where even in the first one it encouraged you not to restart or save scum, a very go with the flow, NG+ encouraged type of game with multiple playthroughs. But I agree that only one save slot is bs (supposedly they are addressing it).

Probably a consequence of long development time, increased budgets and inflation. It's still a nasty practice IMO despite that, because game base prices are already up. Nevertheless - they could have at least optimized the game frame rate. No excuses on that front. This is why I support the small indie developers more these days. Larian showed everyone how to optimize the game development process without resorting to this practice. But on the flipside - they had to make the game woke to get funding.

I love Larian but they were a special case of being independent and partially crowd funded and struck gold, at the same time I fully agree that if the optimization was better across the board the other issues wouldn’t get so much traction. It’s a shame because the game itself is great, but they ruined everything around it that they possible could’ve.
