I like the idea of Dragon being on God island. He witnessed firsthand how corrupt the World Noble's are. Maybe some citizens pled for his help, and a noble orders him to step aside. Maybe they shoot a child cowering behind Dragon, and he just snapped.

It seems extremely out of character for her to be head over heels for Kuma, have a child with Dragon in any context, and then be absolutely giddy about seeing Kuma again. That seems extremely absurd even by One Piece standards. That's Akira Toriyama levels of "I need this thing to happen but it's completely out of character for everyone involved, so I'm just gonna force a reason for it to happen anyway"

I have a great idea about the Monkey family. Garp wants justice but he is afraid of the government power so he works under them at the highest position he can while still giving people freedom Dragon wants justice while working outside the marines so he can give people freedom Luffy doesn't care about justice and wants to be free, and in his path gives people freedom By this logic, Garps dad also wanted justice but is willing to go to a higher position than garp even if it means the people don't get their freedom And again by the same logic, luffys son will not even think about justice and be free and not need to give anyone freedom because everyone is already free. Every progressive generation is the monkey family gets further away from the marines and closer to liberating people but all want to liberate people and give freedom

Well, I highly doubt that Ginny is Luffy's mom, since Oda once said he already drew her somewhere. Also, Oda said that Luffys mom is not important to the story. Ginny was instrumental for the God Valley incident, she got this whole shabang rolling.

This whole time I've just been wondering how Queen Conney fits into all this. We know Bonney was using her identity at Reverie, but the guards still recognized the old woman's appearance as a ruler of the Sorbet Kingdom. Kuma's parents clearly looked nothing like Conney and Ginny wasn't from the kingdom originally, so why does the unrelated queen have a near-identical name and appearance to an elderly Bonney?

Him being a former Marine was an expected reveal, but now I’m wondering if he has any lingering connections with other members, a lot of people have recently pointed out Akainu made it a point to mention dragon during the few times he faced Luffy, rather than his pure belief that any pirates no matter the crime should just be purged, so maybe there’s a connection there. Also yeah the English VA does have a natural deep raspy voice, but I think there’s younger characters with deeper voice like Japanese Choji.

I thought of another theory while rewatching the series, when Dr Hiriluk was killed 8 years ago, he stated that his experiments had been running for 30 years, and his story about healing the heart of someone (which ended up being himself, a master thief, whereby his heart was healed 30 years ago by cherry blossoms, at which time 30 years ago god valley was occuring). What if god valley has cherry blossom trees, which healed Dr Hiriluk, a slave from his broken heart from being a slave. Then he was sent away from the island to Drum Island and forever was trying to recreate the cherry blossoms which healed his heart 30 years ago (38 now, the year of god valley). Maybe this is why his view of pirates is so positive, as the pirates liberated god valley somewhat.

I would imagine that Garp would adopt Koby as his grandson in a similar way he did with Ace. Sure, Ace didn’t take the last name; but, we saw at Marineford and in Impel Down that Garp knew Ace as his grandson and Luffy’s brother. It wouldn’t be 1-to-1 since Garp probably wouldn’t force Koby to be Luffy’s brother. Although, I can see Luffy just accepting that he is and then Sabo just plays along, but much more regrettable or like a meaner step brother; so, now there are 3 brothers again: a pirate, a revolutionary, and a marine.

I have a hunch that’s dragon was at least a captain or involved in a special program like a CP agent or sword. He is the most wanted man in the world for a reason and I think that is because he knows a fair amount about the inner workings of the world gov. even before leaving.

I appreciate how technology is interwoven into this arc. From the beginning, we knew that Kuma was closely linked to cloning technology.

Coming from the future, the Ginny section is hilariously sad

Dragon probably quickly abandoned the idea of going up the ranks to change the marines after talking to Garp kinda like how Garp explained it to Koby in the Live Action. Though Koby is a bit more optimistic while Dragon immediately knew going up don't mean shit specially since his Dad couldn't do anything either knowing at that point Garp could have been higher ranked marine.

As sadistic as Oda can be with his characters, not even Oda would hurt Kuma by having the love of his life and his hero that he idolizes betray him like that! I'm sorry but I can't find it anywhere inside me to believe even a tiny bit that Oda would write Ginny to be such a harlot or to have Dragon betray his friend like that. I think it's a nice theory for the laughs and what-if fanfics, but Oda is not the type to write something as wrong as that..

Dont the people with ginny in the last chapter before she was captured say something like "kuma won the heart of the girl we all desire" ? So i dont think she is luffys mum based on that. Would be hardbreaking for kuma that her love interest, who also loves him, would conceive a child, which is not his imo.

It still doesn'take sense how Ivankov didn't know Luffy is Dragons son. They had newspapers in Newkama Land, so he should've at least read about Enies Lobby and the moment he reads Luffys name, it should've clicked. Unless he didn't know Dragons full name for all these years.

20:11- I have arguments agains that theory- even if Oda likes to say that she doesn't matter if she shows up because it's more important for Luffy to focus on his adventures than his mom- with Oda having a tendency to troll his fanbase. Besides Ginny is more important to Kuma and Bonney's story- it would be odd that this flashback character would be given added prominence of being Luffy's mom before being killed and the focus is back on Kuma and Bonney- with Luffy's birth being sort of an afterthought. While it's easy to assume that like Roger's situation with Rouge- Ace's mom- at least until we get some more important lore dump that changes our perception of Rouge, she's just some random woman in the East Blue who happened to be a D-Clan member that died in a manner to motivate Dragon even further and entrust the future to Luffy- that would trending on Rouge elements too closely and that would be a bit too easy. Her identity at this point of the series would be something that would be heavily connected to the big mysteries of the world- whether it be another Toki situation somehow with the mother being from the Void Century through Void Century tech shennagains- being the daughter of Joyboy as the big shocker. Being a clone of someone notable in the Void Century to then hook up with Dragon to have Luffy. Or the more likely answer being that she's Xebec's daughter- with Xebec being Joyboy's direct descendant, but has some crazy backstory that would justify Dragon and her meeting up- with no one talking about her. The less likely is Imu (if she's a woman) being Luffy's mom with a whole uncomfortable Ragyo repeat- given that Dragon was as shocked by Imu's existence as Ivankov- if Dragon had previous connections like that, he'd bring it up. Or any kind of World Noble, which he would've brought it up by now.

I wonder what dragon saw? So many things we see the marines do that could make the list. The pregnant woman hunts. Slavery. The high hold tributes. God valley situations. So many things but I feel he probably saw something worse

Bonnie is probably a clone of Ginny, and she’s a lot younger than she appears to be. When they rescued her from the ocean she was a child, and vegapunk keeps referring to her as if she’s a small child.

If it means anything, I suggested that Ginny could be Luffy and Bonney's mother back when Tekking did his chapter review. But yeah, something is up with Bonney as she never mentioned her mother ever. Her being a clone is a strong possibility.

Personally I think she's not Bonnie's mom, she is Bonnie. Kuma raised her after she was regressed in age after whatever happened in this incident and that's when Kuma becomes the tyrant

Here's the thing everybody do be forgetting. Bonney was a kid in the sea water and only after they made it back out of the sea water did she end up being an adult again. The flashback has most likely not gotten to her being born yet, since she's theoretically still a kid.

I'm surprised no one has brought this up, immediately jumping to the outlandish like clones or night of passion between Ginny and Dragon, but i think theirs a much simpler solution, Bonney was NOT born till AFTER Ginny was rescued by Kuma (is there any doubt its going to happen) and has been using her Devil fruit to appear as a young adult. That is what i thought of when i first read the chapter, and if you think about it it still fits. Bonney remembers her father as a king, which clearly has not happened during any point in the flashback, back when she was a little girl. Add to the fact that it hasn't been directly stated how long Vegapunk had been managing Egghead (i checked) and the events still line up. Granted this would make her younger than the entire active cast, but that also fits when you consider that everyone who knows of Bonney before she was a pirate calls her a little girl and things just line up. Now I could be wrong, but until the next chapter comes out theirs no way to tell for sure. And for anyone who would say theirs not enough drama or what not in this line of thinking msy i remind you BONNEY WOULD HAVE BEEN 12-14 WHEN SHE LOST HER FATHER if this idea is true. Just getting my thoughts out their.

Timeline-wise, I guess the Ginny is Luffy's mom theory makes some sense. But, I just don't see Oda doing that. Oda doesn't write a lot about romance or motherhood in general. But when he does those women are usually pretty devoted. And almost unnaturally pure. I just don't see Ginny ending up with a secret child that she's hiding from her childhood love. That's just a little too much of the drama that Oda tends to avoid. I mean, I GUESS Big Mom got around. But, she's also a villain. And she's still a actually pretty devoted mom, even if she is insane. For this to really work, Ginny would have to basically abandon Luffy. Ginny would have to be a worse mother than Big Mom, let that sink in. Mind, that's IF she hid Luffy while she was raising Bonney with Kuma and she wasn't dead and/or de-aged to a child and became Bonney, but...yeah, I don't think that scenario is going to play out. Plus, I'm not sure what Luffy ending up with a sister actually adds to the story. I mean...it could be anything, I guess. But, it would be...weird, to say the least. I can't say it's impossible, but I don't think it's likely.

My headcanon is Luffys mom was a part of the navy with dragon and Akinu and something terrible happened to her because of the world government which lead dragon to becoming a revolutionary. Bonney was probably born offscreen and her placement will be shown next chapter.

Kuma could have asked Dragon to give Ginny babies because he couldnt be responsible for giving her babies and having them hunted by the World Government It could be an even crazier twist where Bonney and Luffy are twins and to prevent them from being hunted, Dragon pretended to be Luffys dad and just gave Luffy to Garp to protect him, that would also explan why Garp „slipped“ up mentioning Luffys dad, because he wanted witnesses to him saying it so no one would question it eventually That would also enhance the whole D thing if Luffy didnt have the will of D by blood but simply because thats who he is, also explaining why the Nika devil fruit chose him

Tekking, another possibility is that Ginny could be in fact the same person as Bonney. What if Ginny ate the age age fruit at one point in time, somehow mastered it/awakened it, and then she and kuma encountered something so traumatic that kuma took out Ginny’s memories using his devil fruit abilities.

The one thing that made me think that maybe the whole Ginny Kuma situation might be a way to misleading us is that Ginny had a shirt on that had „sister“ written on it which would be a very subtle way to hint at Kuma and Ginny’s relationship to become more of a sibling type situation. Then again that could also just be a reference to like the „sisters“ in church since kuma was a pastor at the time.

Than some Star Wars Luke and Leya shit happend, Kuma took Bonny ( like Bale Leya) and Luffy ( Luke ) got dumped somewhere in the montains ( desert) . Honestly I think you may be right about the potential Bonney and Luffy situation, if I remember correctly Bonney said that her dad is a special race and not something like "me and my dad are of a special race". so she could be luffys half sister or a clone of his mom, if that is Ginny. Also if dragon and Ginny did do it and have luffy dragon could have just said that he knows a special place to keep the new-born Luffy safe which is with his dad and Dadan in the east blue. But then a question arises of why would this be important? would this be a way of keeping Bonney relevant post egghead? (hope it does) I couldn't see Oda doing all this just for some sort of gag moment where Luffy and Bonney's and everyone else's eyes pop out of their head in surprise if this is what Oda's doing. the potential is really interesting!

One of the reasons I love making Bonney a half-sister of Luffy is because Oda does tend to use his movies as blueprints for future stories and Bonnie could be a sort of parallel to Uta.
