Jonathan Astor is pitching his off-beat advertising agency, Ambient Allstars, he needs £100,000 and in return, he's offering a 15% equity share but what will the Dragons think of Jonathan himself..?
An international sensation, Dragon's Den features entrepreneurs pitching for investment in the Den from our Dragons, five venture capitalists willing to invest their own money in exchange for equity.

@@ya00007 A company should plan for all contingencies, including the very obvious one that the CEO or main owner/driver of the business leaves (for whatever reason). In one sense, just making the assumption the CEO would stay there belies the principle that companies are more than a 'person' - they are a combination of systems, workflows, decision makers, customers and finances. An exist strategy needs to be always be considered.

That could very well be the case. Although, i think the stutter only occurs when someone disagrees with him, and his anger/temper is getting the best of him. Either case, this is BUSINESS.... no matter what your condition, you gotta take the criticism. ESPECIALLY when you're asking for money from investors. This pitcher could've done a better job taking advice from the dragons, VS just counter back with his own "logic". Money talks, and the type of salary he was making while running his business speaks for it self.

I assumed he had somehow 'made it' after Google search showed he had been in local newspapers claiming to turn down offers for £900million for his business. Obviously lying to dumb journalists and ended up bankrupt and homeless sleeping in his car. Found his Instagram and he had 90k followers, assumed he had spent money on followers as all noobs do, his latest post was like a week old of some dinner he ordered at a restaurant and it had 4 likes. Lol. He must have bought all 90k followers which would cost a fair bit. He obviously had 'entrapaneur' in his bio 🤣 He was a real interesting rabbit hole, obviously couldn't make a profit in business to save his life, and ended up trying to become an influencer (which is actually really hard) and failed at that too 🤣

He has a point and he is consistent. It's fine to dress in jeans and a shirt if you are meeting your mates down the pub. If you are wanting an investment from people, not so much. There's a time and a place for how you dress. Would you wear a t-shirt and sweat pants to a funeral or wedding? There was one time he asked a couple why they were wearing runners and sweatpants and they said it was because they wanted to show that they are not afraid to get stuck in and do the hard work needed to run a business. Ok, yes his pitch was pretty poor and generally his business was wishy washy. But he had his vision and perspective. The dragons here are of course more experienced, but some here just straight up took the opportunity to be arrogant pricks instead of taking the high road. Really shows that whilst this guy may have been indeed confrontational, the likes of Theo, Duncan and Peter didn't exactly show themselves to be mature in their exchanges either.
