Ludroth is a leviathan, basarios, diablos and rathalos are wyverns, not dragons.

Someone probably 'Accually tha a wyvern'. Dragons are mythological creatues, a dragon is so loosely defined that it can be anything vaguely reptilian and supernatural/magical. Also wyverns came from dragons, they're basically a retelling of the same creature with less legs and (usually) more venom. Though venomous dragons predate fire breathing ones. George and the Dragon usually features a wyvern, and that came from Beowulf which is to our knowledge the original 6 limbed, fire breathing, classic European dragon. But Beowulf came from the Norse story of Fafnir, which had no wings and just 4 legs, but was venomous rather than breathed fire. Still a dragon. So if anyone one is gonna pull that 'well actually' bs, shut up. Wyverns are just a different version of a dragon. They're not some separate species or order or family of creatures because they're not real creatures (unless that is the lore of a certain fictional Universe, which doesnt apply to real myth and folklore).

this video isnt about real myth and folklore, and on the video game side of things monster hunter is the game that takes the most grounded approach to most to monster classification and so most people go back to it

@@gigachad6135 I mean yeah. But still applies to any modern dragon, they're still a continuation of that same folklore. As I said, the in Universe classification doesn't matter outside of Universe.

So, problem with Anime Ghidorah, it's true size was never actually revealed, just what it looked like. Its heads when it fights Godzilla aren't indicative of its actual size.

World Eater Ghidorah exists in another universe entirely. It doesn't even really have a body that we can understand. It's an eldritch God thing like something out of the C'thulu mythos. We only see what our poor mortal minds can process as it pokes proverbial fingers through the tears in reality to our plane of existence.

Raviente from frontier is said to be the biggest since its full size hasn't been observed yet but is rumoured to be larger than zorah

Dalamadur is by far the biggest. Almost the entire Rotting Vale map is upon the skeleton of a Dalamadur far larger than the one in MH4U. Its skull is a vast cavern that you can fight huge monsters like Radobaan or Tigrex in with ease. It absolutely dwarfs even Zorah Magdaros by a huge margin. Dalamadur is now canonically the biggest identified MH monster. The skeleton in the jungle map in MH4U is by far larger still, but remains unidentified.

Hello! Just something to let you know, Void Gidorah is wayyy bigger than Super Shenron, because Void Gidorah exists in every kind of dimension, something they call "10th Dimension." So if you compare it, he's actually way way bigger than the galaxies and universes.

I saw a video that estimated Drogon from Game of Thrones to be 120-130 feet long based on a scene where you can compare the size of his head Jon Snow. But here he's marked at 164 feet long. I'm curious how that conclusion was made.

Man's really labelled a bunch of wyverns as dragons, even the wyverns in monster hunter were labelled as dragons and that will piss the community off

Wyverns are a type of dragons, and the word wyvern was invented more recently comparatively. Even depiction of George and the Dragon has a wyvern like dragon.
