I love seeing the cars on this channel, but if I had the chance, would rather take it to a road course where you can feel the acceleration and everything else the car was built to do. The Nurburgring is one place I intend to visit in the next 20 years of life.

shorter gears mean especially on track that whenever you downshift you are in full boost, which maximizes the potential your engine has. 720S with the same gears as 765LT would already be quite faster both around track and on drag strip I believe

@@geuros Not really. The 765 was dyno'd at like 100hp more than the 720S at the wheels. It has a whole list of upgrades to the suspension and aero setup, bigger breaks, wider tires, etc. Gear ratios are just a part of it.

This like comparing a Dct on the M4 and the ZF8 on the 335i. 335i has shorter gears meaning you’ll have full boost on every downshifts (even though M4 has faster shifting) i owned a 335i before my M4 and i can tell you that u feel more torque on the 335i than the M4, being M4 way faster

No filler?! Half of this video is filler! A drag race takes like 12 seconds and this video is 10 minutes long. It has a long ass intro where some dude rambles on in his garage and then they toodle around the track for like a minute. It literally takes 4 minutes until we even see any racing

yeah, that thing has so many aero devices it just can't keep up in a straight line. Fast as hell on any corner though.

the wing is controlled by the computer and automatically flattens out when your WOT. Depending on the aero mode selected, it'll sense when your WOT with wheel pointed straight, wing will flatten and stall for maximum acceleration. When the driver brakes for end of straight, wing deploys like a parachute to slow (which you can feel actually), and computers will control motors that will modulate the wing's angle for steering angle input, throttle input, and yaw sensor input. Their traction control systems are incredibly advanced, oh, and its all going through an open differential that uses brake vectoring for replicating limited slip differential. I GoPro'd a Senna wing in action on the track and loved seeing the wing angle modulation as the driver navigated the track.

Same. On paper the Senna should be a 9.5-9.6 in the high 140s car based on everything its all about. So its basically on par with a 720s trapping a few mph more

The massive spoiler costs a lot in these races. Too much drag. If the wing were to be removed (people do this on cars like GT2RS) they’d be very similar in times

Lowkey not even a fair race, the Sf90 has 1000hp electric combined and almost 2 seconds flat to 60. It walks the 765 but maybe the Artura can rival the hybrid technology

Its 670 its replaced the 570 and 600 Lt still it will be quick just not 765 quick

They both put over 800 hp at the crank... 885 for the 765LT and 835 for the Senna, Senna has more at the wheels but 765LT has more at the crank.

@@kellyoubrejr544 How does that even make sense? 885hp at the crank is not going to make less whp than a car with practically identical running gear. The 835hp Senna made 724whp, while the 765LT made 748whp. If I'm not mistaken it was the same dyno.

765LT falls on top can't even reach 200 mph on GPS whereas 720s kept pulling through 217 mph slowly

Then the Senna would murder the LT. Just look at the Hockenheim times, the 765 did not even beat his non LT version (Yeah, same driver and conditions)

But you must conceed that the 765 LT lap time was not the best possible there. Like you said it didn’t even beat his non LT version and that not makes any sense. The 765 LT is more powerful and track focused. Although I agree with you, we should wait for more track tests. 👍🏻

@@haseen5286 it ain't got the special suspension system of the super series (mp4 12c, 650s, 720s, and variations), just the regular suspension setup, it ain't got the roof that comes off with the door for easier get in, and the price rivals a used 720s for a v6. 720s would actually be a more comfortable daily driver. The main advantages will probably be the updated infotainment and interior materials and FINALLY an lsd which even the p1 didn't have. Maybe they fixed the windshield and other glass pieces that always crack, but maybe not

I certainly hope they don't use AWD, it can worsen steering feel, add a lot of weight, stop you from drifting, make packaging a whole lot more difficult. I just don't see many upsides when they're doing so well with RWD.

2.1s 0-60 with rollout on RWD already, it hooks up as is so AWD will hurt it at the top end without improving launch by much.

Yup, that and braking. The Senna has much better braking than the 765LT and would definitely beat it around a track. The reason the 765 beats it in drag racing is all down to gearing. The 765LT has shorter gearing than the Senna for this exact reason. Better acceleration.

The Senna is quicker around a track. In fact many motoring channels have said the 765LT is very difficult to get a quick lap time out of, with some getting slower times than they did in the 720S. That is quite surprising to be honest. The Senna is still the Mclaren track daddy (aside from the non road legal Senna GTR).

765LT has softer suspension so it transfers weight well enough to hook up better on the strip.

Why would he? He has the fastest stock car. Also this car stock right now you should keep is gonna be valuable in the futures just like the 720s just because for their time they where the fastest cars stock for stock.

how is it not? both the same architecture and chassis. 765lt is a lightweight version of the 720s and has tons of weight saving options. they can't pull magic and somehow make the senna lighter when they did the best they can with the 765lt

@@fiestjeuh1 The senna was only intended for track performance. Just because it’s labeled as a Hypercar doesn’t mean it should always be faster in a straight line. McLaren won’t hurt their track performance in exchange for straight line performance because that’s not what the car is for.

The Audi R8 can’t even beat a huracan performante, the R8 has been dragged even by the 650s in roll racing. So nah it ain’t gonna happen. I mean hell it runs slower than the senna in the quarter.
