After taking delivery of my new C8 Z06 I drive straight to visit ‪@TheTripleFCollection‬ where they let me race another of of their McLaren's and race it vs the incredible Ferrari LaFerrari.

Heh, not sure I'd call it a gas station. This very day I actually priced out a 6000 l tank with a pump setup and it was less expensive than one might think. And these guys have everything on the surface rather than a neat and clean ground tank.

I did the PURE Mclaren experience at Indy motor speedway pre Covid in a 720S. I’ve driven a half dozen entry level supercars, 2 quick track experiences, and tons of ride alongs in 700-1100HP cars in my lifetime. So I’m on the front straight at Indy in the 720 driving/getting coached in my 3rd session and a customer Senna joined the session. So I’m amazed at how fast the 720S, still the fastest car I’ve ever driven. I’m watching the speedo climb 150-160-172mph in the braking zone at the end of the front straight. The next lap the Senna comes past me on the straight away and just disappears as I go to 170 again. The senna is one of the most under appreciated cars of modern times.

Bro the 720s is even faster than Senna surprisingly 🤣 720s has quicker 1/4 mile and it could have smoked LaFerrari on Senna here same day Both Senna n 720s has same 1/2 mile After 170+ mph 720s is a lot faster it was pulling on litres bikes 😵 720s reached 218 mph on GPS Senna only did 205 mph P1 only 214 mph 918 Spyder 217 mph 720s is just faster car than LaFerrari or Senna

@@Smzxe - the 720s is only faster due to reduced drag, but as you are probably well aware the Senna was not designed for drag strips, it was designed & modelled after the person it was named after.

@@mohammedawadud7238 720s would destroy both 765 and 296 at 1 mile drag race On Normal surface like airstrip the 720s is Fastest at 1/4 and 1/2 mile both it has amazing traction 296 always bogs down 765LT spins till 100 mph 296 best 1/4 mile time was 10.26 sec @142 mph on carwow a Airstrip 720s spider did 10.1 sec @146 mph 720s has done 9.9 @146 mph on airstrip 765LT 10.0 @148 mph

Lighter weight, and making around 800hp at the crank, and puts its power down better. It’s not too big of a shock that the Senna won. That being said… I’d still take LaFerrari any day of the week.

Dobre cars already did roll races 918 vs LaFerrari and Senna 918 walked on LaFerrari in 4 rolling races even Senna walked on LaFerrari 918 also beat Senna in 4/5 rolling races once Senna hooked it was equal to 918 In rolling races P1 will gap them all

This is 1/4 mile Senna is definitely faster even at 1/2 mile and 1 mile race Senna has trapped higher speeds than LaFerrari Even 720s is faster than LaFerrari 720s beats Senna at 1/4 mile and is faster at 170+ mph

Mclarens make more power than advertised whereas Ferrari test cars until recently were always more powerful and had better tires than the actual customer cars. However it seems that the 296GTB is probably OP as it seems to have beaten even the 765LT, so it is faster than the Hypercar Trinity.

@@srinitaaigaura That's progress. What makes the 296 so fast is the launch. Until the F8, Ferrari has had a bit of a struggle getting the launch control system right. Not sure anyone has done a 765 LT vs. 296 on a sticky track as of yet. On the road, the 296 is just better at putting its power down, and right at the hit the weight actually helps a bit. We'll see. Hopefully Brooks get a 296 out sometime soon so we get some good numbers.

@SirReddit that's the only disadvantage. LAF is a hypercar. The best chevy had in 2013 was the c6 zr1 which was still decent . But chevy isn't on that level quite yet unless they bring out the Zora

Gear ratios..... 1st gear is short quick off the line but 2,3,4,5 gears are longer it loses acceleration traction also Even 720s is faster than LaFerrari at any 1/4 mile 1/2 mile or 1 mile race 720s beats Senna at 1/4 mile every single time

I'll add that LaF has been pretty darned competitive with the P1 at some venues. It's probably not in love with FL weather, as an NA car. Lastly, I'll also add that I couldn't care less if it loses this race. I'd still take it over the Senna (or any modern McLaren).

The weight of a LaFerrari is closer to 3256 pounds, owners manual states 1480 kgs (3256 lbs) and owners think it's closer to 3400lbs. The Senna is rated at DIN Kerb Weight is 1309kgs (2886lbs) as per McLaren site - 171kgs makes a big difference in a drag race plus additional drivers weight. 🤣🤣 Still a great race to watch! 👍

The Senna must have about near 900 real hp (not the 798hp factory declared) also is more track dedicated car (lighter, etc.) than the "standard" version of the LaFerrari so puts the power down better.. but was interesting to watch tho!

The way that Senna's wing angles upwards to go faster...Mclaren knows their aerodynamics. Need to check if there would be a difference if Brooks drove the LaFerrari...weight savings..
