Hello,
During my search of the beaver dams, I met pond. I was afraid to drive thru it. So I decided to drain the water away and I'v made some culvert.

The one thing I disagree with is at the beginning of the video is that the dirt he threw off the side of the road should have been thrown into the low spots on the opposite side of the road that was continuing to hold water.

While I applaud your desire to free the road I wonder if you though that: 1. you flooded someone's field; 2. the 'culvert' is going toe rode into a gulley, and 3. You literally dug potholes in the road.

Great job. Good roads before winter mean a lot. That shovel may be good on mud dams like that one a couple videos ago. You seem prepared for everything. Thank you for being this kind of guy. 👍👍👍😊😉😃

Thank you very much for this very interesting video presentation, the people really appreciate the work that you have done for the community in the removal of this pond. Some people just drive through fast and wonder why they flood their engine.

Why drain the water onto the farmland rather than the scrub on the other side of the road?

The water from the rest of the road had already drained off...into the field. The water that didn't absorb into the roadway will easily absorb into the field, as evidenced by the end of the video.

Yup. Definitely a puddle. Here are the main terms for bodies of water, smallest to largest: Puddle (anything smaller than, say, a house), pond (between the size of a house to a half acre), lake (about an acre or larger), bay/gulf (part of an ocean or sea, but calmer waters, due to partially enclosing geography), sea (big, but not one of the 5 named oceans, with the Southern/Antarctic being the newest one recognized as an ocean), and then, of course, ocean (Pacific, Atlantic, Indian, Arctic, Southern (called Antarctic by some)). There are other types of bodies of water, but they fit into these sizes, and are distinguished more by their characteristics outside of their size, like surrounding geography (in the case of fjords, coves, lagoons, and sounds), or supported plant life (like that which distinguishes a bog from a marsh, or a swamp).

Flooding. Poor soil drainage & aeration. Erosion. Is what happens when cut down all the trees, intensive farming of crops & livestock not suited to the ecology.

In the longer term it will probably be necessary to fill the hole with gravel. A little tip, do not write all the words in capital letters in the video description, the KZfaq Algo prefers that and suggests your vid to more people.

Water lying on a road will have contaminants in it from underside of cars .. not a good idea to drain onto a crop growing field .. the thought was great but the execution not so great .. maybe better to drain to other side of road ..
