There is no way to compare artists. It's all subjective, and everyone will have their own preferences. That being said.... (without even bringing up adele) Nobody... NOBODY has the depth, the layers, the texture, the detail, the rich tone, the warmth, the emotion... of Angelina Jordan.... nobody. If someone else can find them, I would love to hear it, but I personally have not found anyone that even comes close. The fact that she's still only 15... well that's incredible, but really not even part of the equation anymore. There is nobody like her... at any age.

Great reaction DramaSyde. Angelina is probably the most complete vocal talent I have had the privilege of listening to. At the age of 15 she has the elegance, grace, and presence of Audrie Hepburn or Vivian Leigh, and the vocal diversity of Linda Ronstadt. She has the ability to take any song and present it as if it were written specifically for her. I am looking forward to many years of phenomenal artistry.

It’s impossible not to compare, even if you don’t voice that comparison. Yes, these are two great singers, and I love Adele and think she’s a great songwriter. But, unfortunately for Adele, she writes songs in a style that Angelina just kills. And while both singers can pierce you with emotion and power, Angelina has many other vocal qualities and abilities. Angelina can belt out emotion as well as anyone, but her voice also gives us incredible texture, flexibility, and riffs and runs that no one else can. And her interpretation of lyrics, especially in melancholy songs like this, is the best I’ve ever heard. I have room for both Adele and Angelina, but I’ve heard Angelina cover four Adele songs and I like each of those better than the original. “A Million Years Ago” and “Someone Like You” happen to be two of my favorite Angelina songs. It’s embarrassing to say, but I’m sure I’ve listened to each of those a couple hundred times.

This song may have attracted more new listeners to her than any other. Their reaction has been shock to speechlessness. The number of times someone can listen to this, enjoy it, get emotional, etc., is infinite. It hasn't been out a full week yet and I'm already in the hundreds! Drama, When Angelina chooses to cover a song she sprinkles it with her angel dust and then she owns it. This was a mic drop moment. As much as I like Adele, no one and I mean, NO ONE could have sung this song better than Angelina did. PERIOD!

If you asked me my favorite Angelina song, especially as I have listened to everything she has done hundreds of times, I couldn't tell you. Sure I had a top tier, but none I could single out as "my favorite" as all were so wonderful. That is until today. This cover is Angelina Jordan perfection! This is Angie in her native environment. Pure sound from her magnificent emotional melismatic vocals and just a piano. No need for orchestral flare and mixing enhancements. Here, the last chorus was especially soul crushing! No other artist in all my 79 years has affected me like Angelina Jordan.

Okay, I know we shouldn't compare artists, so all I can do is thank Adele for handing Angelina all these wonderful gifts that she can paint her colors on!

It is better. It's probably too much to say that this represents a "changing of the guard" situation but it might do us well to remember that Angelina is fearless, challenges herself with the most iconic artists and the most difficult songs, holds back nothing and as it is often said "AJ don't play". She nearly always hits what she aims at and certainly did that here. It also might not be an accident that Angelina decided to sing this, not standing, but just sitting on the edge of the stage...maybe a hint of "giving notice". I had never heard this song before I listened to Angelina sing it. I immediately fell in love with it, like 30 seconds in, and now I keep singing it in my head. Dramasyde I knew after a few seconds when your eyes bugged out that you would compare the two. After I listened I had to check out Adele and it was beautiful...but not this beautiful. If this gets radio play it will shoot to the top. You were right that nobody should be compared to Angelina. Thanks man for one of my favorite reviews ever! I'm still smiling as I write this.

This is just indescribably glorious! Angelina had such a rare gift for phrasing and nuance, unlike any other singer. I have only one complaint. It is too short. She left out the last verse & chorus with that beautiful modulation. But maybe she will include it all when she sings this in a concert when this cruel war is over.

There is just a tonal quality, and and emotional level in Angelina's songs. She changes the songs ever so slightly and it always works for her. There is a video that matches these two up like they are doing a duet. Their voices are strikingly similar at times...and totally different at other time during that match up.
