yes that verse is applicable only to those who humble before GOD by admitting they were a sinner and recognize Jesus who take the punishment of God for them. but to those who mocked Him, I don't think so.

Imagine 2/3 of the UK's flooded... that's the scale of this climate disaster in Brazil. The territory of the State of Rio Grande do Sul is actually a bit larger than the UK's territory, and 2/3 of that is underwater now. It's the biggest disaster due to climate change we ever had in Brazil. I heard corpses of thousands missing people have started to float. Such a painful lesson for the voters of this State, which majoritly supports right-wings politicians - including Bolsonaro - that deny global warming and take political actions to facilitate the Amazon deforestation.

PEOPLE! you are getting confused, this is not São Paulo but Petrópolis, Carnival in 2022 was on March 1st. And the floods in Petrópolis had more than 200 deaths, and São Paulo only had 36. Please find out the name of the city that happened!
