Luv Dr. Anita however, I am not a proponent of yoga for the following personal experience: The Lord kept me from exposing my spirit to that in yoga. While at the gym, I decided to participate in a yoga session as the instructor asked us to make a certain pose, something immediately rose up within me & I internally yet silently screamed "the only God I will bow down to is Jesus." I quietly got up & walked out of the class. I then asked God to show me what happened in that yoga class, within 2-days, I saw a news segment on tv wherein a yoga guru explained certain poses rever and pay respect to deities (i.e., Gods) of different religions. You can research this for yourself.

When I did my mental health rotation, there was a hyper religious patient…who kept repeating she was waiting for her bridegroom Jesus. She had been found in a basement with feces smeared all over…her parents had her admitted to the psych ward, she was in her 30’s. I’d be oh so careful about the beliefs that inform you, that you think are of “god”. Often when a person has unmitigated anxiety issues, deep religious conditioning, and they don’t have the skills of introspection, metacognition…they can fall prey to their own cognitive distortions. God is way bigger than yoga, or whatever paranoid ideation you’re suggesting here. This type of thinking is a cognitive (neurological) issues, that borders on the mechanisms of things like OCD. To keep “certainty” and control…a person’s mind will create rigid structures, that are often not of god, and instead grasping and “meaning making”…that actually shrink god. Yoga calms the nervous system, allows for emotional regulation, which allows for a person to “be still and know I am god”…. So, your mental gymnastics are way more concerning than the practice of yoga. The meaning of yoga is “union”. That is the Union between mind/body/spirit….and allows us to be more connected to self, others and the divine. Your fear based worldview is sad and can easily devolve into mental illness

Awesome, my ex husband was renowned for insulting me publicly or with his friends around, whilst pretending it was a joke. Relieved to be away from interacting with this person. You have the best description of this subtle behaviour and the impact it has on a person Dr Anita. I never felt able to use my voice and towards the end remained totally silent.

Thank God for your ministry. Not only does it make me look at the people around me, but it forces me to confront myself and my own behavior and what I am doing to benefit or damage my relationships. I realized the dislike I had towards my son's behavior in certain situations, was parallel to my own behavior.

Praise God, I thank you sister for being used by God for his Glory. I just released my toxic son and he's been so awful towards me. It's not right but it's ok, cause him and his disrespectful girlfriend will have to deal with God. We use to have a beautiful relationship but what has happened is too painful for me to carry any longer. He must grow up and I'm not helping, I'm being codependent. I'm a cancer survivor and I need my peace and clean comfort to function and they continually challenge me. Thank you Dr Anita I Love you, God keep her!!!

My daughter’s father was in prison most of her life. She resorted to drugs. She was able to get off them. He was released from prison. Moved in her home with her. Got her back on drugs and more chaos. I put him in jail which lasted all but a second. He’s married but seems to want a “clean” relationship with daughter who’s now 50. But she has to visit Him. He sells drugs. Suspected using them too.

And I want to point something else out. It's not that I don't need a man. Not only does it have to be the right man, what I can't tolerate is when a man who has or is trying to force a woman in a vulnerable position so that she will need him. And men will try to enter a relationship with that mindset.
