As per usual SPOT ON analysis my dude....this fight showed all of the warts in Charlo's game. TOO much head hunting absolutely NO body work less than a handful of body shots unless Castaño was hurt and they were just token shots. This is despite Spence Jr. in a pre fight interview saying that was one of the things Charlo had to do because Castaño fights with a high guard (this really showed me his ring IQ). This was also despite after hearing the post fight trainer tracks James and Mall calling for body shots as well. Castano's high guard and crouch were begging for body shots and uppercuts respectively but it was almost as if Charlo didn't have them in his repertoire. He ABSOLUTELY can't fight inside preferring to shell up and try to dodge punches which played RIGHT into Castaño's hands literally as he was able to steal the last minute of just about every round. Charlo waited far too much for countershots that quite often were not there which led to his low output. While waiting for countershots he quite literally backed himself into corners where Castaño could get good work in. James proved why he is one of the best trainers in the world as he gave Mell calm, clear, concise advice that Mall did not thoroughly execute (at times he made an effort to get off the ropes as soon as he touched them) during the fight. Haymon picking the Latino judge to payoff (I don't know how else to figure out that abomination of a scorecard) was an astute judgement on his part but the judge did his "job" a little bit too well lolz and smdh. I'd have to watch it again to score it but after the final bell I felt Castaño was deserving of a win maybe like 7-5ish. An IMMEDIATE rematch should be the next move but we all know how ridiculously stupid sanctioning bodies go about theirs. Both fighters know what they need to do better and that could make for just as good if not an even better round 13 and beyond.

You're bending the rules to allow for your boxer Charlo to get away with his loss. He lost, and only won 4 or 5 rounds top. However, I know how feelings affect opinions so I don't blame you for it. When others have done the extra hitting but without the power y'all have not gone for the extra power, just because he's one of the boys. So no, you can't bend the rules. Castano won.
