Another 100 Art Challenge?! Yep! This time I made one up for myself and in this video I show how I draw 100 animals! I decided to create a full illustration of animals around the world and I was so excited to use brush markers again! I added some mixed media of colored pencils on top and loved how they work together. I hope you guys enjoy this full process illustration on how I did 100 drawings of animals!

I love the red glow on the first few animals. Especially on the elephant. It’s like the glow of a beautiful sunset going on behind him. I’m gonna give that pencil over markers a try. 🙂

Such a complex project! Not only setting time limits but also fitting each animal into the negative space so it didn't look forced was an amazing feat! Well done. My favorite has to be the pig. My eye keeps going there. So adorable!

I love all the colors! I don’t usually think of coloring a goat blue, but all the colors you used are so beautiful together. I love how soft all the animals look! 😍 The finished piece is a joy to look at!

I LOVE THIS!! The rooster, the tortoise, and the chicken stole my heart 🥰. That coloring on the tortoise is what I struggle with in my own marker/ pencil work. That illuminosity is hard AF to get. Lovely work here Jess!!

I used to model for figure drawing and though I’ve never taking art classes, hearing the teacher make them spend less than a minute to get used to getting a form down was really good for me to hear! It changed my art completely Bc it made me practice getting my hand in practice of what I was drawing versus fixating on how like, one ear “should” look!

It came out great! I can so imagine this on the wall of a small kid's room or kindergarten to learn the animals. I have created for myself a 30 day challenge, had the prompts in a box and chose randomly every day. I hated the last couple of days, but it was a nice try. I'm not sure if I could stick around with 100 of anything... But your challenges are very inspiring!!
