first before i watch this.... i just want to say..... I love Peter. I love the work that he does. I love his videos and the personality he exudes. There really arent too many like him. You aware of that? Its an important fact. I hope that Peter is releasing these kind of videos until the day he dies. Seriously. We are all gonna take that journey with him. And he will lead us wherever he wants it to do, but we will be happy and satiated. Thanks so much Peter.

I remember being astounded at how good your Kickstarter drawings were, when you were basically drawing by commission. Every time you posted, I thought, "Wow! He's never done anything that amazing before!" So sometimes you do seem to draw really well when someone's making you do it. Maybe the difference is that you still got to choose when you were ready to draw, but my impression is that you rose to the challenge at that Kickstarter and really improved as an artist as a result.

Inktober (created by Jake Parker, who is another AWESOME artist) is done with ink because one day, he decided that he would get better at inking, because he thought he needed a TON of improvement, and thus, he created inktober for good drawing habits, and learning to ink.

I've been enjoying your art for awhile now. Your "style" is similar but not quite the same to my own and I find inspiration from what you share. But this doodle could litterly be lifted right out of my own sketchbook. The geometric design and right angles is my flow.. I had to do a double take when I saw this one. Well done.

Brilliant! This is sort of like what I do for work; I design custom crystal grid boards and I ALWAYS use Metatron's cube or some other sacred geometry as a base for the designs. Very helpful for inspiration/motivation in case I have difficulty with those things.

Yeah same goes for me, I usually just draw when I feel like it which means I dont draw much. But Ive been doing inktober and I have drawn everyday. I didnt get around to inking one drawing until the next day though. Overall Ive just felt uninspired for most of my drawings so far. I think its cause I just dont really know how to draw, so if I want to draw something, I absolutely have to use reference images and majority of the time I end up not liking my drawing.

Peter, I need some advice. I love to draw. I really do. I also love to write. But I have this problem. When I'm inspired, after a little while of drawing, I want to be done. But I hate leaving a drawing unfinished. For some reason, I can't just leave a drawing undone to do later. The same applies to things I write, I want immediate, satisfactory results. Do you have any advice for me? I find myself drawing less and less because I can never finish.
@DragonLaggin

Have a few projects (2 or 3) to work on. Cycle between them each day until you feel they are finished. I had the same problem and it helped me a bit.
@CHloE748
@CHloE748 9 жыл бұрын
Maybe you should create the rule to not let yourself start something new until the previous thing is finished. It will require force at first but once you do it a few times it will become a habit. Its important to learn to be able to leave and pick up a drawing, otherwise the art can either never get finished, or have a rushed look to it. Hope this helped, and remember to not give up!!

Overstimulation is a common problem in our generation. People used to draw because they were bored out of their minds, now people do it largely to express themselves to other people. I find it helps to have the intention of posting your work online, the anticipation of people's reactions is very motivating when you're on to something original.

That's the whole points of Peter's videos. Is to lose yourself in his voice. It creates an extremely calm environment that one can enter whenever he feels like. The drawings are just mindless motions that keep our brain entertained enough to not completely shut down from the soothing-ness of his voice.
