She will be in part 3. there are two timelines now, one in which she lives and one in which she is dead. How many people didn’t understand this is beyond me :) but rest assured, they will find a way to save her.

She will also probably have numerous scenes as a lifestream ghost that only Cloud sees{as shown at the end of of Rebirth}, and I would bet Tifa may be able to see her eventually too.

Spoiler for rebirth's ending. Cloud managed to save an alternate world aerith, and Zack has hinted at the worlds colliding again in the 3rd game. So there is a great chance that we'll get to see aerith again.

I think she's dead. just like the time Zack died and cloud started thinking he's Zack himself because of trauma. he also started thinking she's alive and what he's seeing is actually jenova or sephiroth trying to mess with him and make him go to the north. Proof: first she didn't say shit about cloud having black materia second she said I'll stop meteor while sephiroth didn't even mention it. I say bad acting and mimicing from Jenova. Also her smile in that moment kinda looks like sephiroth(creepy)
