I consider myself very fortunate to have come across this amazing and very interesting video, especially the man's description of how to play the Trump's, that was such great comedy. I have been inspired. Thank you Cormac.

A really interesting program and great to see my uncles, John and Michael Wright featured. I also play jews harp, both with my family and previously as part of the band, Pilgrims' Way. There are relatively few female jews harp players today, although there are records of women playing as early as 1591.

Thanks Cormac. Fascinating and well researched. I know Jews Harps were used in Ireland during Elizabethan times. Mike Seeger, Pete Seeger's half brother was a player and Jews Harp advocates. Mike was a skilled fiddler, singer and eminent musicologist.

I had plenty as a kid, played em so much the tongues would break, then I'd get another. Must have annoyed my mother to hell! Now I've gotta look out for some more. Sorry darling, if you're reading this. Blame Cormac! Lol. Great doc fella. Thank you!

Because of Cormac's study of An Trumpa via ITMA I bought one on Amazon for $8. I'm learning to play it now. It's fun! I actually had one when I was a kid but could never get any sound out of it. But nowadays with the internet I could look up how to play it. Now I'm getting lots of tones.

Excellent work Cormac. Hope this inspires more people to twang a wee bit. I remember Allen MacDonald pulling out a set in different keys in a session in Kilkenny.

I remember Robin Williamson starting his set in the packed childrens concert at the Spring Fair in Lampeter one year with a jews harp . It was the closest sound I've ever heard to a synthesiser - only better .
