Күн бұрынHappy Halloween from me and this dude who's carrying me at an Octoberfest party, I guess?? It's a costume party at the South Point poker room in Las Vegas, and we've got the pocket aces to prove it.
This coming week, we’re headed to Deadwood, SD for a MUG on Friday! We’ll be at Cadillac Jack’s all day playing 1/2 and 5/5. Then this weekend we’re off to New Jersey to watch some football. We’ll be at Wicked Wolf Tavern in Hoboken from noon on Sunday. Come hang out and bet the games with us from there. 👍🏼

Your and Brad's vlogs have really inspired me! I just got back to poker after taking a break for a cpl years. I binged the past 2+ yrs of your and Owen's vlogs in the past month. I went to Derby Lane(Tampa Bay) and short bought for $80(90% of my liferoll ATM lol) @ the 1/2. 4.5 hrs later I cashed for $919... Made a mini 1/2 bankroll in one session. I'll have to restart my poker income log. When I quit 2yrs back, I had ~2K hrs with an hourly of $19.73 @ 1/2(90%) and 1/3(10%) in Vegas. Thanks for the free inspiration and valuable instruction Brad and Andrew. Hope to battle you on the felt at a MUG or at the Bellagio.

According to my math, losing with AA to KK in both of those situations combined is about a 1 out of 60 probability. The second one wasn't actually a loss, but the chance of a tie for just that one situation was also about 1 out of 60.

13:20 you should look at it like this, everyone gets Aces versus Kings all-in around the same frequency. Everyone loses Aces versus Kings pre-flop all-in around the same frequency, and everyone wins Aces versus Kings around the same frequency. So if you look at it like that you actually lose money when you get Aces vs Kings all in pre-flop due to rake, no matter the outcome. The money is made where you take advantage of players mistakes, not by all in situations that are inevitable for everyone and where everyone will be on the losing or winning side at the same percentages. This only changes when you have a bad bankroll management and you can't handle the variance in poker.

Good work. My only critic is that if you get 5-bet at a weak 2/5 game, you can just jam aces. They won’t be able to fold Kings or queens, which is all they’re 5 betting

Why did you chop that pot at 13:30 if you had a higher pair to go with the straight? Or is it just a straight for both of you and chop? I feel like it's the latter but can someone clarify? Thanks.

Only the best 5 cards play in order to make a poker hand. In this case it's the 34567 to make a straight, and our hole cards are useless.

AK on 5555 river with no sf possible, I like to size up and bet at least pot, if not shove. No Villain with an Ace should ever fold, but you want to give your opponent every opportunity to make a mistake for the maximum payoff.

5 cards play not 4. The Neemster had quad 5’s with the Ace kicker. The pot would have been split if the other guy also had an ace.

Correct. Always utilize the best 5 cards. In the straight hand that's 34576; in the four-of-a-kind hand that's 5555A.
