Here's a tip for anyone who has issues with their pens being kind of dry- I actually like to store my pens upside down, so the ink runs down into the nib of the pen. This prevents them from drying out! (this is mostly for gel pens and ballpoint pens, if you have double-sided markers you should store them horizontally :p )

but watch out if you have pens with double sided nibs this way of storing pens can also cause those kinds of pens to be really REALLY juicy on the end that was upside down and it might dry out the end that wasn't upside down to be more dry or dryed out! so only really do this with pens that only have 1 nib

I really appreciate that you start the video at the beginning of your art process. Not many KZfaqrs show what it's like to start with just a vague idea of what they want to draw. They usually start filming after they've done a few sketches and are ready to record the final drawing. You show us how the process works!

lol Right?! Usually I watch Waffles and then start doing chores and stuff. A couple of months ago, she posted on a Friday instead of a Saturday morning and I woke up and just sat around on my couch trying to figure out why I couldn't get my butt in gear to do stuff. After a couple of hours I was like "OMG I didn't have Waffles!" ...and then I sat around and still didn't get anything done. Just goes to show that Waffles is a part of a balanced motivating breakfast ;) lol

hey can’t thank you enough for getting me into the illo sketchbook I used to get only the same sketchbook for years and the paper was the very ‘finalized drawing’ type and I could never find a sketchbook I liked so I fell into art block way easier but I’m in love with this book and the vibes are astronomical

I love how you literally use th sketchbook to sketch ideas. Other channels, myself included, tend to use it to try to make the sketch in the sketchbook the final piece. I'm going to try to use at least one of my sketchbooks as an idea and practice like you do. I could see it making use of my sketchbook more relaxing and fun. 😆 Hahaha, thanks for sharing and love love the design of the clear hourglass piece and the colors you used. 🤗❤️👍🏽💯

Oh my gosh the thumbnail for the video caught my eye. I like the galaxy tape I saw 🌌 Also I also draw SO many stars and planets and moons and whales and clouds. Those stuff are my go to themes. I also like aliens 👽 Basically anything space or ocean related + clouds

I know you get a lot of comments saying a lot of the same things but I just started trying to learn to draw this year and videos like yours where you go through a PROCESS of sketching and thumbnailing and refining...I've just learned so much it's crazy.
