‘I can’t say entirely what took place after that. I believe I’ve blocked much of it from my memory…’
I haven't done a really long story in quite a while, so thought it was about time I cranked one out!

I can beat that, My elementary school was on Sullivan’s Island. Where multiple forts from the civil war were built. (SC) Not only was our school a part of a minimal bunker, more of a office type of the era setting, all made of brick and electrical updates, but right across the parking lot, (a very narrow parking lot), was an actual Full size Bunker/Fort. All black, no lights. Many years they’d use it for an amazing Haunted House, and since we were already afraid to go too deep in, as kids, going even further on Halloween, well that required a few extra pair of undaroos! Also, across the street, equivalent of four blocks, was this enormous dirt hill. It was at a slant, and at the top, a tall chain link fence as the bottom was yet another bunker/Fort. And I don’t mean a small 20-30 man bunker, I mean an entire fort, Huge. To enter into it we’d have to go around the back where there was no hill, and walk right on in. Mostly we’d just skateboard and screw off, as again going too deep into the tunnels was not happening for us. I’m not sure what exactly we were afraid of, I suppose just the dark. Now about 2-3 miles down the island was Fort Moultrie, a fairly well known place, often given tours and very kept up. Far more than any other aside from Fort Sumter, But it made for one extremely memorable, and unique, elementary school environment!

Damn creepy! Still one of my favorite stories, and only when done by our resident Dr. Creepen. Knowing that M. Whitehouse wrote this says epic all over it, plus it’s a great way to scare kids straight, and prevent them from going into places they shouldn’t. Like, the teachers lounge. Where they all congregate to smoke, and toke up.

Very nice one. Perhaps I Will go home some day and take pictures of the creepy cemetery which ran down all along our grammar school property. Plus the rocky outcropping, veritable cliff, oh and for a while Indrid’s house was on the corner. Just down the street a swamp which one year spewed out more frogs than the plague, just your basic upbringing. Oh, and there was a real lil brick building in the cemetery, and when kids tried to break in, a lady we loved from the cemetery society came with the school janitor, who was also the cemetery keeper. They explained that it used to house corpses when the ground was too cold to dig graves, but now it was only used to put refrigerated corpses into their showy caskets in the spring for graveside purposes. It also housed cemetery lawn equipment which was not to be fooled with or Mr Schacht (my big scary delightful giant Uncle Bill and the head of grounds) would be forced to take steps with parental involvement. I never heard of anyone trying to break in since, especially when it was revealed that it was airtight and there was no doorknob on the inside. Yup, just your average childhood.

I have a suggestion. Read stories from edgar Allen poe. Your voice and way of narrating would really give those stores the appropriate flow. They are the original creepy pasta content. Another suggestion but maybe too lengthy would be loveseat stories. If you could find a shorter lovercraft. The detail from both authors offers vivid creepiness
