The Merida BIG.NINE looks back on a long and successful history with countless race wins - including world championships and world cups. The current challenges in racing demanded a fundamental revision. Merida's result is the brand new BIG.NINE.
Longer, flatter and deeper - that's the sound of every new enduro and trail bike release. But the cross-country community can't be ignored either, and the bike is designed to shine on modern cross-country trails and races. So Merida has completely redesigned the BIG.NINE. Without touching the race genes of the bike, they have revised the geometry to improve the downhill and climbing characteristics. With a new, lowered frame design that improves standover height and comfort, they've made the bike significantly more capable when descending. The bike also retains its strengths on single trails. It now accommodates tires up to 29x2.4" for more grip and traction.
We have built the bike with the brand new 2024 RockShox SID and SRAM Transmission group and we are thrilled. The bike is a living legend thanks to its successes!

DAS NEUE BIG.NINE − Die Erfolgsgeschichte geht in die nächste Runde!
Das Merida BIG.NINE blickt auf eine lange und erfolgreiche Geschichte mit unzähligen Rennsiegen zurück − darunter Weltmeisterschaften und Weltcups. Die aktuellen Herausforderungen im Rennsport verlangten nach einer grundlegenden Überarbeitung. Meridas Ergebnis ist das brandneue BIG.NINE.
Länger, flacher und tiefer - so tönt es bei jeder neuen Enduro- und Trail-Bike-Veröffentlichung. Die Cross-Country-Gemeinde darf man dabei aber ebenfalls nicht außer Acht lassen und das Bike soll auf modernen Cross-Country-Strecken und Rennen glänzen. So hat Merida das BIG.NINE komplett überarbeitet. Ohne die Race-Gene des Bikes anzutasten, haben sie die Geometrie überarbeitet, um die Abfahrts und Klettereigenschaften zu verbessern. Mit einem neuen, tiefer gezogenen Rahmendesign, das die Überstandshöhe und den Komfort verbessert, haben sie das Bike deutlich leistungsfähiger beim Abfahren gemacht. Auch auf Singletrails bleiben die Stärken des Bikes erhalten. Es bietet jetzt Platz für Reifen bis zu einer Größe von 29x2,4", um mehr Grip und Traktion zu erzeugen.
Wir haben das Bike mit der neuen 2024er RockShox SID und SRAM Transmission Gruppe aufgebaut und sind begeistert. Das Bike ist dank seiner Erfolge eine lebende Legende!
