Just a heads up, you may want to use a small amount of super glue to adhere the velcro strips to the stand and power bricks, as the heat generated from the power bricks tends to loosen the velcro’s “sticky side” over time; I mounted mine in the same manner and after regular use they kept falling off the stand until I applied the superglue. Great videos so far, those subs and likes should keep rising as your build progresses 👍🏼

Solid cabinet build. I agree with the Andy, your OCD is admirable and inspiring. Out of curiosity, was there enough ventilation inside the cabinet? I installed 4 of these to help: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ZDCCPUS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Hopefully they can help keep the temp down. Good idea on the temp probe! I could be wrong but I think I remember on one of the brs videos Ryan was going to hang a power bar upside down like you did with the EB4 but didn't after people told him that there is a fire hazard in doing this. The fire hazard coming from a risk of gravity gradually pulling out the plugs and a partially pulled out plug runs the risk of causing an arc. Please anyone who is more knowledgeable on this weigh in as to it's safety. But love the videos, I need to check through your videos to see if you have shown off your nano.

Hey man! Thanks for watching my video. The chords are super easy to make as long as you have the right tools. Here’s the reference video I used. I’m eventually going to make my own video. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/r7aVo9OfxrbNkpc.html

What size lumber did you use for the main frame of your cabinet?
@PetmaluLife
@PetmaluLife 3 жыл бұрын
The company I purchased from, Crystal Dynamic Aquariums made the cabinet. From the looks of it, it’s a combination or 4”x4”s and 2”x4”.

Can you release all of the measurements/3d files for this? It would save me a ton of time having to also measure every point of the components to build my own.
@PetmaluLife
@PetmaluLife 3 жыл бұрын
Possibly. That's what made it pricey. I paid the guy an hourly rate and a lot of it was spent on measuring. It's the most tedious aspect. I'll most likely be able to get the file from him and plan to sell it for people interested..

It's already in the comments but your power supplies will go for a swim at some point. Velcro never holds up for our use. Go get the Ecotech power brick brackets. They screw in to the wood and won't fail you

Absolutely incredible build. Turned out Awesome! One note of caution ..could be a risky move relying on Velcro adhesive for the power bricks like that..It can loosen from heat and humidity over time. Also it was a bit odd to me why that cnc guy didn’t recommend styrene or pvc board instead of something requiring lacquering. Appreciate sharing this sweet build!
@PetmaluLife

Thank you! Appreciate the heads up on the Velcro. I’ll keep an eye on them. Yeah, not sure he didn’t recommend anything else. I think it’s because I came in there with my mdf board I previously made so we just ended up recreating it more precisely.
