In this video, we will practice Dream Theater Home first solo section by John Petrucci. As we all know John Petrucci is one of the best alternate picking masters in the world se we gonna practice Home fist solo to improve our alternate picking skills. He wrote this solo in 90 bpm with 32nd note triplets. I usually teach this solo to my students for alternate picking, picking speed, and accent mechanism. Don't forget to accent the first notes of 32nd note triplets that means you'll accent the first notes of six note groupings.
Always practice with the song and with the metronome (both). Start slow and increase your speed gradually.

Hello Ozz, excelent video. Do you have any issues with play this melodies with the copyright? im thinking about to make guitar content about songs or solos , but im afraid to get an strike or demonatized videos...how do you keep away of that? Thanks!

Thank you. I am not using original sounds and I am playing guitars alone. Sometimes demonatize sometimes not.

at which tempo is played this scale rin?

In the lesson part, I played with half speed (90 bpm 16th notes) ✌️

@@OzzGuitar alright, thanks. In the TAB Book of that record says 88 bpm but i always thought is was played faster. The same with Beyond This Life, i think its 94 bpm 32th notes, am i right?
