I really like this speed exercise but the metronome app I'm using is much slower than this video. For example, I can play this at 140 bpm with my app easily buy I can't come close to your 140 bpm. Comments anyone?

Hi how are you rock on dude l am learning to play guitar basic power chords.

I’ve played guitar for about 7 years and recently decided that my techneque needs some improovments. About 2 days ago I started practicing for 4 hours a day (I hope I wont give up on it) and today I found this video so I’ll give it a try. Day 1: 160 BPM cleanly Day 2: 170 BPM cleanly 175 BPM almost clean Day 3: 175 BPM cleanly (and for some reason I decided to do it on acoustic)

The hardest part for me playing it the original way is that opening part about 6 seconds in where your pulling off and still picking a note from G string. That’s just ball busting. And then going down to the G string and doing similar on the D string.

I feel like the pick constantly moves around when you "clamp" it between curled index finger & thumb.. doesn't give a great strumming sound either.. I hold the pick thumb on top, index & middle finger underneath, very hard to pick this way though so its very hard to switch quickly between a good strumming sound & a good picking sound

I like them both depending on what your going for. Economy picking sounds like it takes you longer to get there.

Stuck at 160bpm. I can push further to 190bpm but it gets sloppy. Finally made it to 190bpm clean July 11th

Decided I need to really hone in my picking technique because I've gotten stuck around 140-150bpm 16th notes for over a decade now. Really focusing on moving my wrist, not my forearm, and keeping as little tension as possible in my wrist. I'm going to do this 4 week program and focus on building muscle memory to stay relaxed at higher bpm. Today my wrist just wanted to lock up and get sloppy at 160 bpm.

Day 1: 140 bpm Day 2: 150 bpm Day 3: 150 bpm Day 4: 150 bpm Day 5: 160 bpm

I'm confused as to which is the true version, on conparing this tab it is different to the apparent official tab version I am using which I got from paid for version of Ultimate Guitar Tabs Stevie Vai "official tab" of this piece. Then there are 2 other very good vids that also differ from each other and the so called "official tab".

Day 2(9): made it to 70 BPM... from 230 clean in week one... Yea... I don't feel like doing 5 minutes a day of exercise one at 50 bpm because I make a mistake 3 notes into the new part... at higher speeds... easier... lower speeds... ungodly frustrating. It's not worth pissing me off, my mental health can't afford to take that hit. What a damn let down. If you want to be a professional guitarist, this might be for you. If you have an anger issue and need to play by the rules... find a new video. Otherwise, you're either cheating (remember to restart if you make A mistake) or have god-level drive or patience, and that's not me. Maybe I'll try another day. To be fair, I'm hung over af. That might have something to do with it. Just feedback for future videos.
