Is that a joke. Dream Theater are knowhere near Rush. Never will be
@ratowey4 жыл бұрын
No one is Going to take Rush`s crown, I was merely saying that in my opinion they were the nearest of the modern bands to play in the same genre and attempt similar levels of complexity albeit with five band members. There lies Rush`s genius, to make that music with just three people. I`ve seen both bands live many times and they are both amazing. I don't believe in rating music, its not a sport. If something makes you happy then its good.

Most of this album, "Images and Words" is gold. "Another Day" could have been a radio hit (but somehow wasn't), "Surrounded" has one of the best build ups and releases in all of music, and "Metropolis" is so good it got a whole album as its sequel. "Leaning to Live" is also great. Again, just... the whole album is gold. And the rest of their catalogue has gems like "Hollow years," "The Glass Prison," "Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence" (It's 40 minutes long; you probably don't want to do that monster here), "Home," "The Count of Tuscany," "Change of Seasons," "Mirror/Lie," and about half of the rest of their discography. So much great stuff.
